Lovely scent and great sample
I also received this sample and really like it. I used to wear YSL when I was younger but I always thought 'too flowery' and never tried it again. This has a lovely fragrance of berrys and roses which blends beautifully. Not to bold but very pretty and lasts well. I was worried it may be overpowering but I was pleasantly surprised and will enjoy this sample. Not sure it is in my budget right now, but a nice splurge for the future. YSL Parisienne Sexy Name but Scent Says Otherwise.........
The review is a bit mixed on this depending where you want to be. It has a nice scent of rose and sandlewood. I love the combination of these 2 scents, The other side is it smells like a scent my mother would wear. It is kind of what other were thinking too. I just lost my mother in 2008. It does not bother me right now to recognize a scent like her. If you are looking for sexy and fun this probab...read morely is not your scent. In other words this is not a scent for the younger generation. It is a more mature scent. This one smells okay-on me, it smelled very berry, almost like a body spray. I didn't get a whole lot of woodsy notes. It does have some staying power though-you won't use a lot of it. Dislike it, alot
This scent is way to strong. Its very sweet, yet very overpowering. One spritz is way too much. I do not reccomend this perfume at all! It is overpowering, too floral, and just plain ugh! I tried this out multiple times and each time I hated it, and so did other people around me. Lovely Scent - wish it lasted a bit longer
I don't wear a lot of perfumes because I don't like to be overwhelmed with fragrance... nor do I want to over power anyone else's perfume. So.. normally I just let others waft in the forefront. I think after maybe 5 minutes the scent was completely gone. So I would douse on more... but again, the fragrance didn't last. Romantic Rosey-ness
I recieved a sample of this perfume and I would have to say it was ok...the woodsy/floral scent was well balanced on my skin, it makes a nice combination of scents...just too overbearing for me I think. Not absoutley horrible, but not something I would wear.
Of course when it comes to perfume, everyone is going to have a different opinion. I personnaly do not care for the scent but the quality of the perfume is something that deserves to be spoken about. I spreayed on just a tiny bit from the sample I recieved and although it is a light fragrance it definately has a long lasting scent. A Light Floral Delight
I really enjoyed the scent, it was light & floral. Not overpowering at all. I used all the sample and was asked by a few people who enjoyed the smell also. I wished it would have lasted a little longer because the scent wore off after an hour of use. Synthetic smelling
Although I love most perfumes with rose notes, I have to say, after a few occasions wearing this I noticed too much of an artificial, chemical like smell. After initial application, an artifical sweet rose scent overwhlemed me. After an hour, it evolved into a more woodsy complex fragrance that balanced out the sweetness. Lovely
