Playful and mysterious
I found Parisienne to be a bit sharp on initial application -- likely from the vinyl accord (meant to invoke the metal of a spike heel). As a result, my first impression was not favorable. However, the top notes fade quickly and the middle floral comes out add back the romance. At this point, I can see why some reviewers have likened it to a "grandma" fragrance -- the floral is pretty in...read moretense. However, after the floral settles and the masculine bottom notes are apparent, the fragrance is suddenly one that I absolutely find appealing. Very sweet rose-like natural scent
There aren't many perfumes that I like the scents of, but this one I was actually fond of. The smell is gentle and kind of sweet. Kind of like roses, with a hint of sandalwood mixed in. The perfume also stayed on my skin for a long time, unlike some scents that fade within an hour of wearing. At the end of the day it was still on! very light
I was a little hesitant about trying this floral, woodsy scent. It smells very pretty and light. I think this a more mature perfume, for older women, not for someone young. Light - Like It!
I love perfume and really needed something new to try. I liked the sound of the woody structure with notes of Sandalwood. When I first sprayed it on, it didn't seem to last very long. It took me three times to spray enough to really be able to smell the full fragrance. I liked the femininity and sensuality aspect that it advertised and the bottle is pretty. . Not for me
For the first few minutes after I sprayed this perfume, I liked it. But afterwards I started to dislike the smell more and more. I hated it and had to scrub it off my wrist to get it off. great scent!
i really like this! YSL did a great job-- it's a very good mix of fruits and florals with just the right amount of musk. it's playful and sweet, yet edgy and mysterious thanks to the hints of vinyl and lacquer notes. since fragrance is so personal, this is definitely something you should wear before buying-- get a sample from your local Sephora! :)This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I recieved this sample in the mail for review, and the first thing I smelled was Blackberries! I absolutely love fragrances that have berry notes of any kind, so this was love at first spritz. I applied the perfume on fresh clean skin, and wore it all day. In the morning, the scent was very berry and floral. By the afternoon, I went out in town to shop a little, and the scent changed to something ...read morevery earthy and woodsy, but still the Blackberry held on (love that!). By the evening, the scent had transformed into something completely different...the scent became a very sexy combination of vinal and warm berries...that's right, vinal! But it was amazing. Eh...
It wasn't really that great. It smelled ok, but it was nothing stand out or different. It just kind of smelled like a lot of other perfume. I also expected it to be a little more potent or longlasting, but it was neither of those things. Love it!
I welcomed the opportunity to try Yves Saint Laurent Beauty's newest fragrance, Parisienne, and I will tell you that I was not disappointed. It's described as "a grand floral with a woody structure, luminous even in its mystery". The fragrance's top notes are Blackberry, Damask Rose and Sandalwood. Now I'm not an expert when it comes to fragrances, but I could barely smell the Sandalwoo...read mored which contributes to the "woody structure" of the fragrance and I think that's why I liked it so much. I'm more partial to citrus/floral scents, and I could smell the richness of the Blackberry and Damask Rose immediately after testing it out. its okay...a little like ysl baby doll...
Parisenne's notes are blackberry, damask rose, and sandalwood. I totally agree with Mischo Beauty and that I smell the damask rose and blackberry but even after it dries down and wears a bit, there is no trace of sandalwood. I'm a woodsy scent kinda girl and I didn't catch the sandalwood. But I did noticed that it smells like another YSL fragrance....Baby Doll. I wore Baby Doll for a year...2005....read more So I'm pretty familiar with the notes. Parisienne smells exactly like it.
