Flowery; Smells a bit Grandmotherly
This perfume has long staying power; I can still smell whiffs of it in the later afternoon when I've spritzed on two squirts (once behind each year). It's a bit flowerly for my taste and smells kind of has an old-person smell, but not in an overpowering way. i wouldn't really wear myself, but could see giving as a gift to my aunt (she's in her late 50s).This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love this feminine floral!
Beautiful, Sexy, Feminine and Elegant. Those are words I would use to describe the fragrance as well. The scent is a beautiful floral with a hint of sweetness. It's the type of fragrance you can wear for a variety of occasions. I really loved this fragrance and have been wearing it almost everyday and have yet to tire of it. This fragrance feels like a luxury to wear....it feels and smells very "rich". Parisienne has pretty good staying power...I still got compliments at 5PM when I spritzed myself at 8:30 AM that morning. If you love floral fragrances, you'll most likely like this. The bottle is really pretty...it reminds me of an oval cut diamond. It's clear and the fragrance itself is a pinkish-lavender color with a gold cap. Definitely a bottle worth displaying on your vanity or makeup station. Not what i expected! Better than i thought
When I recieved this sample in the mail by Totalbeauty i cringe at the sandlewood/musky claims. I thought it would be to heavy and over powering..to my suprise it was actually a nice mix. It wasn't to light or heavy. My friend even commented I smelled good. Although the smell didn't seem to last long. Would I pick this as my everyday scent? Probably not..but its not a bad smelling perfume at all. It seems like it would be for older women. Not really for me
At first smell, I thought that this was a nice, light perfume. I even liked it the first time I wore it, for the first hour or so... After that I thought that I smelled old for my age. I'm 28 and I felt like I smelled like a 60 year old. Maybe it was because I was at work and my body chemistry was changing throughout the day, I'm not sure. A little...iffy-?
I prefer light, sweet and airy scents. The kind that can be worn anytime, at any event, and with any outfit. I wouldn't say that Parisienne is that kind of fragrance. This perfume is described as having "notes of blackberry", but I seemed to smell more of the blackberry than anything else. That's probably why Parisienne is such an intense fragrance. It didn't repulse me or give me a headache, and my husband likes it (but he is not picky at all when it comes to what I wear. I could spray myself with air freshener and he would think I smell nice). I just find it to be a little too intense and heady to really fit into to my everyday routine. I stopped to smell the roses
I was excited to receive the new YSL Parisienne fragrance in the mail. I wasn't as excited when I tried it on my skin. The rose scent was very nice, but it didn't last all day. Not only that, the rose scent did not smell as nice as it started to fade away. When it comes to fragrance, I tend to like vanilla and more subtle fragrances. Definitely Not a Powerhouse
I'm soooo disappointed in this fragrance. It is very common smelling. There is nothing that stands out, and there actually is something about it that I dislike...I just can't put my finger on it. It almost smells cheap, and like they just slapped it together in ten minutes. Definitely not original, and definitely forgettable. I must admit, I love spicy fragrances, and this definitely is NOT s...read morepicy or oriental. It's very floral, almost to a fault. One of my all time fragrances is by YSL: Opium. That perfume is brilliant. Sexy, mysterious, classy, yet very subtle. It has some unknown notes that leave you guessing, "what is that?" It smells like a rich woman. This pales in comparison. It is simply average, okay smelling, and definitely not sexy like the picture of Kate Moss insinuates. Packaging was ok. Again, it didn't blow me away. It looks like a jewel. Big deal. So does the new Britney Spears fragrance. The dry down was a little better than the top notes. But, for me, it was still way too sweet and floral. Floral but flirty
When I first decided to use Parisienne, I still had that prejudice in my head about YSL that says "Very old lady perfume" but I was pleasently surprised that this scent had indeed some light notes. Love it!
YSL's newest is a beautifully feminine. The opening features a yummy (very edible) cranberry note while the heart smells soft and tender, with an emphasis on candied roes & violet petals.
