Pantene Takes Us Back to the '80s

Posted 03/22/12 at 11:08AM by Audrey Fine

Growing up, we always had Pantene in the shower. Even though my mom generally bought whichever formula was on sale, I remember loving when she brought home Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Shampoo, $11. The scent was amazing in a grown-up way, and I was convinced it gave me that "don't hate me because I'm beautiful" commercial hair.

Sadly, Ice Shine went the way of so many '80s beauty products -- it was discontinued. That is, until now. Pantene received so many requests for Ice Shine on its Facebook page that it's bringing back the cult-favorite line. To celebrate, they teamed up with Funny or Die and created this flashback video packed with countless hysterical movie references -- see if you can catch them all. Not a fan of "Ice Shine." I miss the Pantene made when I was very young, available only in department stores. It worked wonders.

OK, the video was hilarious! I am an 80's girl and that brought back crazy memories! I didn't use Pantene then but I did use Salon Selectives before they changed the formula over and over again! I would love to see the original come back out!
