Carrie Underwood Wants to Rock Big Hair for Her Wedding

Everyone knows that prepping for an upcoming wedding can be stressful for a bride-to-be. They'll often spend evenings and weekends pouring through wedding magazines as they search for the perfect hair and makeup styles for their big day. However, the country star, pictured here at the American Music Awards with big, sexy hair, told "People Magazine" that even though she hasn't set a wedding date yet, she has already chosen her wedding hairstyle.

"I'm Southern," she told the magazine. "I like big hair and eyeliner. I want my wedding day to be me, so I'll probably be rocking some big hair."

If you're like Underwood and want to stand out with full and sexy locks, pump up the volume by adding a golf-ball sized amount of mousse to wet hair as soon as you get out of the shower.

For big hair, a good hair dryer is essential. Pin your hair up in sections, starting with the near the nape of your neck. Then, using a large barrel brush, pull hair up and focus heat near the roots.

Want extra lift at the crown? When hair is dry, tease the very top sections by backcombing slightly. Keep things in place with a few squirts of hairspray and your big hairstyle will hold steady for a big night on the town.
