It's a great idea to change up your hairstyle once in a while and if you're happy with your haircut, adding some highlights or a different hair color can be fun. Before you choose the standard blonde highlights, think about making a switch to red. American Idol contestant and singing sensation, Kellie Pickler, recently chose Isla Fisher's hair color, pictured here, for her latest hairstyle.

Media sources reveal that the singer recently made the switch from blonde to a more subtle auburn shade. According to the web site, countrystandardtime.com, Ms. Pickler doesn't want people to make a fuss about her new 'do. "It's just hair!," she said, "So, while I have my hair, I'm going to play with it and experiment with it."

If you want to follow in Pickler's footsteps, InStyle Magazine noted that red hair was a hot trend in Spring of 2009, so why end there? Just because the leaves have changed doesn't mean that it's too late for a gorgeous red 'do like Isla Fisher's or Kellie Pickler's recent look. You never know - a pretty shade of auburn might be cheerful enough to help combat the shorter days and darker evenings. ADNFCR-2773-ID-19450888-ADNFCR
