Scientists recently discovered that astronauts experience "accelerated aging" when they're in space. In fact, the "Journal of Clinical Interventions in Aging" reports that astronauts in space actually age 10 times faster than they would if they were here on Earth. Crazy, right?

While the researchers don't fully understand the causes of this accelerated aging, some believe it's a deficiency in magnesium and other antioxidants that slows down the cardiovascular system and causes cells to age. And aging cells equal wrinkled skin.

In light of this, there's a new skin care line for extreme environmental aging. It's called Comfort Zone Skin Regimen, and it was developed by a panel of experts that included Dr. Filippo Ongaro, a doctor who worked closely with astronauts at the European Space Agency.

All of the products contain an exclusive "Longevity Complex," which has anti-inflammatory, anti-glycation, and anti-oxidant benefits thanks to maqui berry, chia seeds, and spinach. It may sound like the makings of a smoothie, but the clinical data is impressive, with a 50 percent increase in cell activity -- plus firmer, more hydrated skin.

As far as I know, they haven't actually sent any of the products to space (the fact that the Space Shuttle Program is officially kaput probably doesn't help), but that didn't make me any less excited to try them. Here's my take on the line. I'll report back after using them for a few weeks to let you know if I see a marked difference.
