• Science just figured out that there's actually a gender difference when it comes to peak exercise heart rate. The old standard formula of "220 minus your age," which has long been used to determine what your target heart rate during exercise, is actually outdated, say researchers. • Christian Dior cosmetics is launching a new thing you're about to become obsessed with. It's called Dior Addict Fluid Stick, and it's sort of a cross between a gloss and a lipstick. As Dior explains it, they are, "intense lip stain pigments directly encapsulated in spheres of gloss." [Dior]

• A new study published in the journal Science found that hardship in early childhood leads to poorer health later on. Children who received better care as babies -- which included full time day care up to age 5 -- had lower incidences of high blood pressure, obesity, and had higher rates of good cholesterol as adults.
