Product Review: Have A Ball!
We took this ball for a spin and loved it
Hundreds of yoga classes later, I still slump -- especially when I'm writing. (Like right now. Must. Sit. Straighter.) I've considered using a stability ball instead of a chair, but it seems so … ridiculous?

So it seemed like a bit of serendipity when I was invited to learn about the Technogym Wellness Ball, $225 (email firstname.lastname@example.org to order). It's a stability ball on steroids. Not only does it look fancy, the cover serves a function: The mesh material zips on and off so you can throw it in the washing machine. Brilliant for anyone who regularly drops bits of breakfast and lunch on her chair. (Who, me?)
My favorite feature of the Wellness Ball: it's weighted on one end so it doesn't roll around the office like a lost puppy. The weight also makes it harder to fall off the ball, which is critical for someone like me. Someone with coordination and balance issues, for example.
Finally, you can use the ball as an exercise tool. During the test drive, we tried everything from sit-ups to push-ups to squats using the ball. And, yes, I was sore the next day. Go ahead, try doing squats holding your desk chair over your head.

Like all things, you have to use the ball as instructed to get results, like better posture and toned abs. You have to sit up straight with both feet on the floor, engage your core, and keep your shoulders back. Of course, your coworkers may laugh you out of the office, but you definitely won't look like a bitch.
