• When most of us think of human trafficking we think of forced prostitution and hard labor, but a new study from the UK's Sunday Times found that a growing number of UK nail salons are run by human traffickers from Vietnam. The report found a large number of undocumented Vietnamese nail salon workers, many of whom work in salons during the day, and then are forced into prostitution in the evenings. Asha Mandela credits her hair getting her through two heart attacks, cancer and two strokes. "Cutting it would be equivalent to suicide," she said. [Source]

• As an obsessive cuticle biter, the idea of cuticle manicure art makes me feel uncomfortable. And yet! Someone has yes, created something called Rad Nails Cuticle Tattoos, which are sticky "tattoos" that you put on below the nail on the cuticle area.
