Guess What Naomi Campbell Eats for 10 Days Before a Runway Show ...

The ageless supermodel has revealed her get-catwalk-ready regimen (and it ain't filling)

Some supermodels came and went with George Michael and the 90s. Others, like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell somehow manage to carry on and keep working like gorgeous, youthful, (*cough Dorian Gray*) cover girls.

It's amazing, really, when you think about how long they've been at it and how great they (both) still look. Especially when you consider what they've put their bodies through -- both Campbell and Moss have admitted to drug use in the past and staying lingerie-ready for all these years has to have taken its toll.

All you have to do is take into consideration how Campbell says she prepped for an Atelier Versace show -- her first foray onto the runway in 14 years -- over the summer to realize what these runway models put themselves through.

Although she's continued to work in print and on TV, in a recent interview with Net-a-Porter, the 48 year-old, opened up about what it was like to get back in the "live" game.

She may keep her figure flawless with Pilates ("I don't want to build muscle, just to tone") and indulge in the occasional treat ("I'm not extreme about what I eat -- I let chocolate and crisps come in at times. You have to allow the little things that make you happy," but when it came to prepping for the Versace show, things got extreme.

"For 10 days prior, I just drank juice -- carrot, ginger, pineapple -- to cleanse."

Wow. Speaking as someone who's done her fair share of 3 and 5-day juice cleanses, I'm amazed that she could even stand up, let alone walk, after ten (10!) days of not eating. Then again, I'm not a supermodel. But, still.

Judging by the crowd's reaction to the show, her, what?, sacrifice?, was "worth" it. The crowd and the media went nuts -- she'd knocked it out of the park yet again.

"It was emotional for me to do the show after 14 years," she says. "I knew about it for months and couldn't tell anyone. When I did my fitting in those amazing clothes, it was just overwhelming."

Ok, sure, but would it really have been that different if you'd eaten, say, a salad or 20 in the days leading up to it?

Do you think it's crazy for models to put themselves through things like this or do they have a "responsibility" to earn their money by looking their very best no matter what?
