Donna Born in Roma is the first perfume from Valentino that i've had the opportunity to try. I previously avoided Valentino fragrances, but I was wrong. I fell in love with this perfume the first time I sniffed it even before spraying it. I could smell it through the packaging and knew it would become one of my favorites. The vanilla scent was present along with hints of jasmine, but the dominant flavor was not. It stays on my clothes for about 8 hours, after which it evaporates and becomes more unpleasant to smell. It wears off faster on my skin. I think I'll buy a full-size bottle, since a small sample is not enough for me.
