Nice but ordinary...
It has a nice floral scent, but I cannot say that it is a one-of-a-kind since I don't smell any distinctive scent. I have this bottle for at least 4 years now, and it becomes more for decoration than actually wearing it. The combination of their feminine/mature scent and the simple and elegant perfume (after all it's Ralph Lauren) makes a great gift for mature, adult women, but it's just not very extraordinary for me.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Rose and Floral Scent
This is the first Ralph Lauren fragrance I've ever tried, so I don't really have anything of Ralph Lauren's to compare it to, but compare to other perfumes, this is not thing particularly special. It's a very strong floral scent, with a very prominent rose tone, and it dries down to this patchouli/musky scent. While the initial smell (aka top notes) are very nice, the dry down and middle notes sme...read morell like just about every other perfume out there. It's... Generic. Because of this generic-ness, I think that it's overpriced. It's very feminine, but smells more mature (makes me think mid-40s) and it's very sweet. On me, this lasts about six hours until I can no longer smell it. The bottle is cute, however, I'll give it that. It's elegant on my dresser. Nothing Special
This fragrance is very floral and sweet, so it's too strong if you spray normally. You need just a tad bit, and you can enjoy it's top notes better, which is the best part. It's long lasting, but unfortunately the bottom notes clashes with my chemistry to the point of nauseum. Clean.

Classic, But Maybe Older
Romance is unquestionably a beautiful frangrace. It's a sophisitcated feminine floral that makes you feel like you are going somewhere important. nothing too exciting, but quite lovely anyway
Normally I don't care for fragrances described as 'romantic', but I think the lychee and patchouli deflower it enough so that I really quite like it! It's subdued enough for work, but has enough sophistication for dinner out (and it won't overpower your food like so many florals!) and you can wear it to a movie or the theater without irritating the people sitting around you. My All Time Favorite
