The Pro Tips I Use for Trimming My Bangs at Home

Are you sick of shelling out good money every 10 minutes to get your bangs trimmed? (Or worse, of being forced to do them yourself and winding up looking like Christina Ricci in 'The Addams Family?") Join the club.

As a way around this too-common issue, I recently popped in to see my favorite hair guru -- Giovanni Vaccaro at the Frederic Fekkai Salon in New York City -- and got him to share some of his no-fail DIY bang-trimming tips.

This seems pretty easy to do but, not for an uncoordinated person like me! ;)

I used to have side swept bangs over a year ago, it was a phase of mine. I actually liked cutting my own hair better myself because hairstylists are too controlling in terms of how they envision you hair to look rather than what you want.

I recently gave myself bangs at home. I just took some scissors and started cutting. It ended up looking pretty good for the most part, but maybe I should have left it to the professionals!!!
