Don't buy it!!!
Thank god this mascara was free because I’d definitely want my $8 back if I spent money on this product. The bristles are a weird round shape which shocked me at first. Then I thought, ok cool, it will help me get all the small lashes. Well, not exactly. The formula leaves much clumping, causing my eyelashes to be stuck together rather than looking full. There was no lengthening and th...read moree weight made my curling efforts futile. Although it says it comes in two colors: Black and Blackest, the mascara also made my lashes appear gray. Back to the Drawing Board !
I tried this new product and was not impressed at all with the wand. A little round brush. It clumped, it was awkward and the mascara was no where near Explosion level. As a test I slept in the product as well. It did not irritate as bad as some mascara, so for that I would say good but, I wear mascara for one reason, for thick lashes and in my opinion there are far better and cheaper mascaras to be found on the market. "Are those fake eyelashes you are wearing?"!
Yes, that is what my discerning mother said to me when I told her to look into my eyes after applying this mascara. It makes my lashes extremely long......but it takes some time to put it on. Like another reviewer said, you almost have to put it on one lash at a time. The first few times I used it I thought it was the clumpiest mascara on earth, but after a few uses the build up on the brush dissipates and becomes easier to use. Gets every lash though I always touch my eyelid with the applicator when trying to reach shorter lashes and have to correct the mistake. Takes a while to dry - do not put glasses on for a few minutes afterwards, otherwise you will end up with black streaks on your glasses - which on the positive note shows that it made your lashes long enough to reach your lenses! Long lasting, super long lashes but I wish it gave more volume. Not my favorite mascara
While I will admit that the brush DID get every lash, an impressive feat, the amount of clumping I experienced with it made it very troublesome. I had to spot clean areas around my lash line and eyelids every time, which was very frustrating. On the plus side, the product lasted all day and didn't come off from either tears or eye rubbing. Mixed feelings
Overall, I feel like this is a phenomenal mascara for the price. Unfortunately I think this mascara's greatest strength is also its greatest weakness. The actual formula is what I've come to expect from L'oreal, it wears great. Despite crying once while wearing this mascara, it never smeared or smudged, but came off easily. However, as I mentioned, this mascara's innovative wand is not only it...read mores strength, but also its weakness. What's bad: No matter what I did, mascara seemed to cake behind the medieval mace looking brush. If I didn't wipe it off before applying my mascara, I'd end up with horrible stuck together lashes with too much mascara on them. I hated having to waste that much mascara. What's good: The brush really is awesome. It reached lashes I didn't even know I had. As long as I wiped the base of the wand off, I had no smears or smudges from applying the mascara. WOW lashes
I really like this mascara. It gives good color coverage. I have rather short eyelashes and this worked great at giving them volume and length. The brush design is very innovative. The brush is an egg- shaped bristle brush. It works extremely well to separate lashes and to allow you to get those stubbier lashes you'd never get with a traditionally shaped mascara wand. Another feature that I like is that the mascara itself seems to have a "quick dry" formula so you don't have to sit there with your eyes popped wide open waiting for it to dry. It also doesn't seem to have a problem with smudging as the day goes on. It wears well all day. The packaging is very standard. Awesome,WOW eyelashes for a great price. Good Product, but not my Cup of Tea
Let me begin by saying that I am an avid L'Oreal user. I am completely dedicated to my double extend lash mascara, which might be why I am slightly bias against this product. The wand, though rather unusual to get used to at first, made it especially easy to put on my lower lashes. However, when I put it on my top lashes I noticed that it would go on very thin. It would reach the length of my lash...read morees (I have naturally long lashes) and enhance them to look slightly longer, but in my process of trying to make my lashes look fuller, I wound up making them look clumpy. Overall, if you want long, thin lashes then this is the product for you. just an average mascara
This mascara has some definite advanages, however, I believe the cons slightly outweight the pros. Pros: I don't have to use a curler w/ this mascara, it curls enough by itself. And, the weird-looking applicator does a great job picking up those hard-to-reach corner lashes!! Lasts all day, too. Cons: It clumps like crazy and the spiky, rounded applicator is very hard to use. too clumpy for me
This mascara is good for thickening lashes, but tends to go on clumpy, so it's not my fave mascara out there. It does tend to last all day though once you put it on. I also didn't like the globe brush and like a traditional brush instead.
