    I love it

I love this mascara. The round brush is such a good idea. This mascara lasted all day and my lashed looked so long. I will be using this mascara from now one. You got a winner with this one.

Not as great as I had hoped

I was psyched to try this stuff. The first few times I tried it out, I had no complaints and was quite pleased with the size and shape of the brush and its ability to reach the lashes in the inner corners of my eye. However, after using it for about a week, I noticed that my left eye lashes were clumpy (I'm right-handed so its always a little tricky to do my left eye)and would actually feel like t...read morehey were sticking together when I would blink. I used Q-tips to remove the excess but it didn't help much. I ended up running a brow comb through them which helped a bit but they still felt a little sticky for the rest of the evening. I'm not quite sure what happened over the course of the week.

    Clump City but cool idea

I know they got the idea of this brush from givenchy, but I like this idea. I really got clumps after the first coat. Maybe I am not doing it right, I don't know. I after 2 coats it made my lashes into about 3 big chunks.

Not the best product for my mascara preferences.

I'm the kind of girl who isn't too fussy about her mascara, I can just brush on a couple of coats, curl, and that's all I need. I know that there are alot of girls who crave 360 coverage of every last lash. If you're one of those girls you may like this product. But like I said, I'm not. I find the application a little putzy. The first few times I applied it my lashes stuck together because of the...read more odd-shaped brush, it took a couple of days to get the hang of it. Don't get me wrong, the mascara itself is great. It makes my lashes look super long and smudge and flake-free, I just don't like the applicator, I find it uneccisary. If coverage is waht you're looking for, you're better off getting a mascara with a "minibrush" applicator. *A really bizarre thing about this product is the paint on the bottle. When I first got this, the bottle seemed kinda sticky. I though it was a little weird, but I didn't think much about it. Then I realized that it was the paint/writing on the outside of the bottle that was sticky. Well, today as I was applying this stuff, the paint actually started smearing off onto my hand! It was gross! It was all over my palm (and a little on my face!) before I realized what hda happened! It was hard to get off because it was so sticky. Isn't that strange?

    Awful Clumps

When I first took out the brush, the end was covered with the mascara liquid, I knew the product was going to be messy. It usually only takes a few strokes to put on mascara, but with this brush I had to carefully work my around the eye. The end result were lashes with more clumps than I have received from any other mascara.

    Clumped my lashes

I have recently complained about mascara brushes becoming too big, but this one is so small! The wand is super thin and bendy and ends with a little spiky globe brush. This thing is tiny. I have heard that this mascara is a drugstore version of PhenomenEyes Mascara from Givenchy. The spherical brush is suppose to reach lashes at the root and provide coverage to the entire lash from every angle. ...read moreI found it very difficult to apply because the mascara is so wet and clumpy. It caused my lashes to stick together, and I had to comb them through, which was time consuming. They still turned out spidery and messy looking. The mascara worked a little better on my lower lashes, but overall I would still definitely not repurchase. Also, it seems like L'Oreal repackages their mascaras in new tubes with new wands, but uses the same mascara formulation. I always have the same problems with their mascaras regardless of the version I am trying out. They always weigh down my lashes, drops any curl I put in with an eyelash curler, are sticky and clump my lashes, and even if I get the blackest black shade, they come out a grey color.

    Clumpy and flaky

Maybe it's just me, but I could not get this mascara with its wacky brush to work for me. It left my lashes very clumpy, worse than most mascaras with rubber-bristled brushes. Also, although all mascaras flake at least a little on me, this mascara left a generous sprinkling of flakes below my eyes that was very unattractive. And a word about the colors L'Oreal made for this--two blacks, one tha...read moret's very black and one that's grayish black. It seems to me that a brownish black would be more natural looking and make more sense than a grayish black. overall, I was very unimpressed by this mascara.

    Explosively good value

--What does the promo say?-- "In yet another mascara first, L'Oréal Paris introduces Telescopic Explosion Mascara, the first mascara at mass with a spherical brush and smooth formula to lengthen and separate every little lash. This breakthrough mascara revolutionises the mascara application process, making it possible to apply from every angle to reach every last lash for a completely fann...read moreed-out explosive effect. Truly, size does matter: this small brush yields big lashes! Contains paraffin, jojoba oil, palm oil, and vitamin B5 for lash conditioning. Outstanding consumer test results show no clumping, flaking or smudging; ophthalmologically tested, it is sensitive for sensitive eyes and for contact lens wearers." --Packaging-- Mascara manufacturers have become more daring with their packaging concepts in recent years in order for the tubes to stand out on the shelf: Maybelline's Great Lash was probably the first, but recent others include Rimmel's Sexy Curves and some Barry M and Bourjois mascaras, as well as Maybelline's Define-A-Lash. L'Oréal's Telescopic Explosion continues to buck the trend with its bold red and black ensemble, and the spiky globular brush is pretty snazzy too. However, it's wrong of L'Oréal to claim in their PR that they're the first to do this: Givenchy was the first brand to pioneer this type of brush over a year ago. Nevertheless, I don't blame them for latching onto Givenchy's technology. Having had a good experience with Givenchy's version (Phenomen'Eyes), I was keen from the moment Telescopic Explosion came out to try it and see how it compared. I just hope that the main part of the wand, which is much longer than Givenchy's, is strong enough that the ball part doesn't ever break off in the tube. --Application-- Application is easier than you might think, but anybody who has experienced Givenchy's version will already be a pro at this. Carefully stroke the balled brush over the lashes, and don't be hesitant to go for tinier lashes at the corners of the eyes. Perhaps don't try this while in motion (e.g. on public transport) unless you're feeling especially confident, though. --Appearance-- A professional and defined appearance. Perhaps not completely perfect (a few tiny clumps were present on application), but nevertheless much more detailed and far better than many other mascaras in the same price bracket. --Texture-- Can't argue with this: the texture is smooth and luxurious. --Longevity-- I took a shower without removing my makeup (and without having needed to retouch my mascara even once throughout the day) and it didn't even smudge. Score. --Value for money-- This is an excellent, affordable alternative to Givenchy's Phenomen'Eyes, combining quality with innovation (even if it isn't theirs) and with value for money. And with such eye-catching packaging, it's hardly any wonder that it's already flying off the shelves in Europe and the UK. perfect partners L'Oréal Paris Color Minerals Eyeshadow, £7.82 L'Oréal Paris Kohl Minerals Eyeliner, £7.82 L'Oréal Paris Colour Appeal Star Secrets Trios Eyeshadow, £7.82

    Has A Learning Curve

In general, I really like this mascara, It gives very nice definition to the lashes, with volume and length. It doesn't flake or smudge during the day. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve to using the brush, however, I like that the brush coats my lashes right down at the base to the tips, and I like being able to push my lashes upwards into the curl. The learning curve comes in figuring...read more out how to use it without bumping your eyelids or getting too much product on your lashes at once. Love the brush

This is a very creamy and easy to apply formula that does thicken and lengthen lashes. I found the brush easier to use than standard straight brushes. I also liked the fact that it was easier to remove than other L'OReal mascaras which makes it that much faster for this busy mom to get to bed!! I would probably repurchase this in the future.
