An actual lash extension

favorite mascara!
I absolutely LOVE L’ Oreal’s Double Extension Beauty Tubes Mascara. I was really shocked to see that this mascara had such a low rating—it’s my favorite mascara so far! DO NOT skip this step if you want to keep your eyelashes! I really like the fact that the primer is white so that you make sure you don’t miss any when applying the black. It might take more time, but the result is definitely worth it! This mascara delivers length and volume. This is due to the fact that the mascara makes silicon-y “tubes” (hence the name beauty tubes) AROUND your lashes, which makes them appear much fuller. Although it weighs down uncurled lashes, it stays still and can hold a curl well. It never clumps, and it’s easy to fix mistakes. But my favorite part of this mascara is that it doesn’t budge or flake one bit! Due to the unique formula, it doesn’t smudge or end up under my eyes, like most mascaras ( I have super oily eyelids, and i'm a runner, so this is really important to me). One weird thing about the mascara is that it’s really strange to wash off. It comes off ridiculously easily, you just have to wet them and kind of gently rub them, but it looks like your eyelashes are falling out because the coats are slipping off! This mascara is FAR from waterproof, because if you get it wet, you’ll end up with little black things under your eyes! I’m completely in love with this product. THANK YOU, L’OREAL! What a disappointment this mascara was! The idea is interesting but it just didn't work. First, the primer dries really fast and gets crispy. It's very hard to cover the white on the lashes with the mascara. My lashes looked longer but not by 80%. It also offers nothing for volume. I am a mascara junkie and I've got one for just about every occasion. This is just an amazing lengthener and definer. My lashes were seriously amplified and I'm usually not a fan of the dual-ended mascara. It works best if you do one eye at a time with both the base and then the topcoat right after each eye. I am really loving this mascara and I have incorporated it into my daily routine. The illuminating color is fantastic, bringing in brightness to the eyes, while still not being too overt or clownish. Ugh!
I was so excited to try this mascara, but became horribly dissapointed after one use. The "extentions" came off if I touched my eyes, and since I wear contacts little black flakes in my eye weren't especially enjoyable. The flaking was definitely the worst aspect of this mascara, but I didn't think it made my eyelashes especially long and thick either... No raccoon eyes but no curl
I have oily skin so I've tried dozens of mascaras in hopes of finding one that won't leave me with raccoon eyes by the end of the day. Even waterproof ones smudge on me. But this product doesn't. This stays put. It comes off completely with warm water. Just don't get freaked out by all the little tubes you'll find in your sink. It's a good consistency and doesn't clump. The only downside is that I have straight Asian lashes and even if I curl them before application, they straighten back out. Does as promised..
..but did you know you after you apply your first coat of mascara you can apply baby powder? Google it :) It's a helpful trick to those who can't find this product/don't like buying online.
