    I like Loreal

Being under the Lancome Corporation's umbrella, I like their products. This mineral makeup is the best yet of all the ones I have tried. I like the color selection. I have pink undertones and most companies specialize in yellow and beige undertones, so make up matching is difficult. I loved the coverage and ease of application. Some days I use another brush, but I find it easy to use. At least I d...read moreo not have to fight those little jars with their tiny holes. I could never get enough product out to look like there is makeup on my face. I use the Bare Naturals and add some blush and I am done. Good stuff, I will be buying again!

Not Bad But Far From Perfect

I've been a fan of the mineral foundation trend since my best friend made me up with her bareMinerals my junior year in college. I love the way mineral powders apply and wear throughout the day but $25 a pop for foundation is not my cup of tea. So when my bareMinerals foundation recently ran out I set off to find something that gave me the look I love with less of a hit to my pocketbook. This pa...read morerticular foundation caught my eye with it's unique packaging, it looked like it would be great to carry in my bag for touch ups during the day - it's hot where I live so it's inevitable that you'll have to touch up at least once a day if not more. The first problem I ran into was choosing a color to match my skin. After much debating with myself in the cosmetics aisle I finally settled on a shade that looked slightly lighter than my bareMinerals foundation but when I got home and got it out of the package and on my face I was dismayed to find that, while it blended perfectly across my cheeks, it gave my forehead and chin a "muddy" or ashy look. Disappointing yes, but not a major problem since I have two other shades of mineral foundation at my disposal I just mixed and matched until I got the look I wanted on all areas of my face. Still, it was kind of a pain in the butt and added time to my morning routine so points taken away for that for sure. The second problem I've run into with this foundation is a tendency to make the areas underneath and around my eyes look crepe-y and OLD. I've never had a problem with dry skin on my face but this foundation sure makes it looks that way. A trip to the ladies room at work confirmed that with this foundation on the skin around my eyes took on a look not unlike that of the skin on my 80-year-old grandmother's face. So not cute on a woman of 25. The third and final beef I have with this foundation is that it seems to be drying out my skin with daily use! I said it before, I've never had a huge problem with facial dryness, even living in the desert where 110 degree weather in the summer is common, but since I've been using this foundation for about 3 weeks now I've noticed considerable drying of my T-zone and consequently, I'm now breaking out because the skin on my forehead is so tight and dry. While I do like the coverage this foundation provided on the areas that it did match my skin color and I absolutely LOVE the brush (it's a lot softer than bareMinerals brushes and easier to maneuver into small areas around the bridge of my nose) I doubt I'll purchase this foundation again unless I can find the world's best moisturizer to use with it since it dries my face out so much. It's not bad but my search for the perfect, inexpensive mineral foundation will have to continue because this just ain't the one.

For the price is not bad!

I bought it about 2 months ago, and I still have it. I use it on my face everyday and it has lasted a long time. For the price, is not bad at all. My skin looks smooth and it covers the dark spots that I have on my face. Overall, I think is convenient and cheap. I really recommend it!

    LOVE THIS STUFF!!

I have tried numerous other mineral foundations and I keep coming back to this one. It looks very natural and does not look like you are wearing a foundation.

    Love the product

This is one of my favorite mineral foundations I've tried lately. For me it was easy to pick out a matching color. It covers really well, doesn't leave my skin dry or oily, is long-lasting, and doesn't make me break out. The only problem I have is with the packaging- while I LOVE the brush and ease of application, it puts too much powder on the brush and is hard to shake it off without the powder sprinkling everywhere.

Skin so flawless, I look airbrushed

I am the type of girl that loves to try new products and I rarely stick with a particular product. However, I am a die-hard fan of this whole Bare Naturale makeup line from L'Oreal. This foundation provides absolutley fabulous coverage but still looks like you aren't wearing makeup. You can apply it heavier for more coverage or lightly to even your skin tone simply by the amount of powder you have...read more on the brush. Take into account that a little of this stuff goes a long, long way so start light and apply more if needed. I think my absolute favorite thing about this product is that because its made from minerals, it has never made my sensitive skin break out. Ever. I never use foundation because liquid and compact foundations just look weird and makes me break out. I know its a little pricey for being a drug-store prodcut but it is so worth it. One of these containers last for a very long time. I also recommend applying their Bare Naturale Soft Focus Mineral Finish as a setting powder to absorb any oil. Also, it does make a difference when you skin is regularly exfoliated and moisturized. This will help the product to be applied more evenly.

    Clumpy, difficult application

I bought the soft focus finishing powder to try after I ran out of Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil. I must say I am not terribly happy with it. Out of the gate, the application method is terrible so I just dumped some into my Mineral Veil container. I also used my kabuki brush from that after trying and not liking the L'Oreal brush. I found that the powder sort of clumped up and you really could...read moren't diffuse it to get an even coating on either brush. It almost seemed damp or something. As a result, you end up with or kind of clump of powder which can make even application problematic. That said, I will probably continue to use it as the coverage isn't terrible, but I will be going back to my Bare Minerals and I won't be buying the tinted foundation any time soon.

    love this mineral makeup

I was a loyal user of Bare Minerals but decided to try this one day mainly because it was less expensive. I LOVE it! It isn't nearly as shiny and gives a more natural finish. It has a great selection of shades which BM doesn't. It covers especially well and best of all it is much less expensive. Give it a try. I should also mention that the brush on the lid is pretty much useless and I use my BM brushes, which are fabulous BTW.
