GREAT product IF you know how to use it

now i have LOTS of blemishes, and VERY oily skin so when i heard Loreal was introducing a powder foundation i decided to switch from my usual True Match. i was skeptical at first because i didnt think that a powder would be heavy-duty enough to cover the amount of scarring and blemishes that i have, but it turns out that this powder is NOT a light coverage. this stuff is just as strong as any li...read morequid foundation. the i only use the brush included to add a LIGHT layer on my face (use VERY sparingly as this can get cakey of overdone) and use one of my own concealer brushes to dab and blend over blemishes/scars. it actually looks more natural than my old liquid, lasts longer and is faster and easier to apply! plus the bottle itself doesnt ever get chunky and need to be thrown out so it lasts for quite some time. this is my new favorite foundation, but i still use True Match powder to set it.

    This product doesn't cover anything!

I tried this product, and it didn't cover anything....even after multiple coverings!!I still had shadows everywhere under my eyes, and the powder seemed to just settle into my fine lines instead of covering them or helping out in any way.

    Its just ok

Pros: The coverage was a medium consistency. it left a luminous glow to my skin. Cons: It turned orange a few hours later. it is extremely messy! I had powder all over my bathroom sink and on my clothes.

    Druge Store Brands

Do not buy mineral makeup sold in drug stores! They have an enormous amount of fillers resulting in waste of money, time, and who knows what it'll do to your skin!

    It's just okay.

I've been using this for a while, but I will not buy it again. The coverage is not that great, so you really have to pile it on. And it doesn't last throughout the day. If I apply it early in the morning, by nighttime it's almost completely gone.

Not as bad as people are saying...

I agree with the positive posts here. This stuff is now all I use. I don't use tons of it, and it gives the perfect amount of coverage. It's not so much a foundation as my powder. It does a good job covering my redness and does not make me look metallic or dry or gritty. I go with the less is more approach. Less makeup is better for skin anyway.

    Like this concealer!

Not for dry skin! I have very oily skin, and this lasts very well on my zits and spots on my face. I tried it under my eyes, and it was really dry and powdery, so don't use it there. It's definitely harder to use than a stick concealer, but I think it gives better coverage and you can't really feel that it's on...but the package is still way cute, lilke a smaller version of the mineral foundation....read more The concealer brush lid is hard to hold on to since it's so small and there is no handle, but it blends nicely. Sadly, my shade is too light for me at this time of the year...but I kind of look forward to the pail months ahead! I recommend to oily skin types, who also have zits, and whiteheads, since it's a powder formula, it covers up the shine and head of the zit! Yay!

    Too Itchy!!

This makeup was easy to apply and that's about all I can say for it. Everytime I use it my faces itches like crazy. It also settles in lines and sometimes looks cakey.

    Try something else.

It was ok, but it irritated my face. My mom even tried it and her face was itching. The applicator didn't feel great either.

    Junk!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I am soooooo disappointed in L'Oreal for putting this junk on the market as THEIR mineral makeup! I am a Bare Minerals girl, but figured I'd save a couple of bucks by buying a 'drugstore' brand of mineral makeup to wear around the house or running errands. But, I ended up wasting my money on this stuff! I've been using L'Oreal since I was a teenager - their foundation ...read more(before I switched to minerals), blush, lipstick, eyeshadows, nail polish, you name it, as long as it was L'Oreal, I trust(ed) the brand name. They've always been my go-to brand, so I figured I could trust them to have a good mineral formulation ---> WRONGO! This stuff GAVE me wrinkles! A chalky, cakey mess! Liquid foundation is better than this stuff (and since using minerals, I HATE liquid foundation)! I swear L'Oreal's Bare Natural Gentle Mineral Foundation either contains talc or chalk! I can't stand the stupid brush being permanently affixed to the lid either, as there's nowhere to 'pour' the so-called minerals into to 'swirl' the brush in. Pouring it directly onto the brush (as I think L'Oreal intended users to do) is a lesson in futility! I honestly cannot say anything good about this foundation! Yes, to be fair, I have tried adjusting the amount I used, to no avail. I'm beginning to worry about L'Oreal's decisions; I was stunned (not in a good way) when they first introduced their HIP (High Intenstiy Pigment) line after exploring the line in person in the store - their High Intensity colors remind me of little-girl makeup colors, or those you see on Marilyn Manson! Ugh!
