Great alternative to the pricey products

I tried the L'Oreal mineral foundation because I was tired of paying so much money for Bare Minerals. I found that this product works just as well. I have been so happy with the foundation that I have been using this and only this product. If you like to use mineral foundation than this product is worth a try.

    Itchy!

I was definitely interested in trying this, as I wanted to try Bare Minerals but didn't want to spend the money if I didn't like it. The good about it: Nice coverage, very flawless, really helped my non-flawless skin look great. It blended well, covered, well. The bad: ITCH! I later found out my skin is sensitive to bismuth oxychloride, which is popular in many mineral foundations. I don't ...read morereally have sensitive skin, but this product definitely made my face itch for a good part of the day, and I was really surprised by this. Use with caution.

    Makes me look OLDER

I got this one in a package with a blush and the finishing powder. I wanted to try a mineral makeup and thought this would be a good one to try. It's relatively easy to use, has a matte finish, and can give good coverage. However, it makse me look older and accentuates any lines on my face. I'm under 30 and didn't think I had any lines, but this somehow makes me look like I have some, especially near my eye area. I was disappointed and won't be buying this brand of mineral makeup again.

    Good but messy

Decided to try after a friend of mine recommended it. I found that the product covered well, did look natural and was really light. The only thing I didnt like was that when I would open it, it would make a big mess. I don't think it's worth the 13$ I payed for it. I also have the wet & wild mineral that works just as well, not messy and is half the price.

    tight and greasy

bought this a few months ago, found the coverage ok. but the brush is rough on the skin, after applying it makes my face feel tight like i left a mud mask on to long. the more you put on to make your skintone even the more orange your face can look. after 3 to 4 hours of wearing my face starts to become greasy. but the plus side i haven't had any breakouts like i did with liquid foudation.

People you dont know what youre missing

Ok, if you are going to where ANY type of powder...it is important for you to take care of your skin! If your skin is flaking andstreaky..exfoliate! I really like this powder. I do not apply it with the cheap little brush it comes with, i use my own fluffy powder brush, but the powder really does give great coverage. It is a bit messy because the powder is loose and can get all over the place. Oth...read moreer than that its amazing. Totally worth a try & better than there compacts. Stays put all day like good makeup should.

I think this product is great!

I'm 51, and the last time I used foundation I think I was about 35, unless I was performing. [I'm a performer]. I either looked like a Kabuki dancing mannequin or my face gets so oily you need a pair of sunglasses just to hold a conversation with me. And don’t get me started about the lines! Anyway, I got caught up in the promise of all of the mineral makeup ads, but couldn’t affo...read morerd to buy them, so I have absolutely no experience with any other mineral product to compare this to. I tried Bare Naturale, because I could manage the price. I use it all the time! My skin looks inarguably better. I love it. I’m spare with it, so no one ever sees that I’m wearing makeup. About the mess: I just shake the container with the top and brush on tight, so that there is a lot of powder available. I dip the brush, and then tap it around inside the cap, so that I can put the excess back in the jar. FAR LESS WASTEFUL, and gigantically neater than opening these flat little jars, swirling a brush around in it, with nowhere but your bathroom sink to tap the loose powder into! True - I don’t love the brush. It is a bit stiff and scratchy, so I usually use it along with a softer kabuki brush [also drug store brand.] to blend. I have never tried the L’Oreal’s version of the finishing veil. Does that help keep oil down? It does get a very LITTLE bit oily throughout the day, and does look a little less “fresh”, but holds up infinitely better than any of the other foundations I’ve tried – including Chanel, Shiseido, Prescriptives and Origins. The color is great. I always recommend starting with a light hand and building from there. One other thing - I have some good small brushes and use the foundation as a concealer. Takes a few more layers, but works fine! One product I don’t have to buy, and it blends in with the rest of my face. It’s well worth it to pick up another kabuki and some other different sized, soft brushes for applying to different / detailed places. There are some very nice woodened handled, natural bristled brushes right in the drug store. No need to get the really expensive ones [although brushes are a place where you get what you pay for], nor do you have to get the cheesy little plastic ones. I don’t know about the others, but Bare Naturale is a really good product, and the price allows it to be a staple.
