Love how lightweight this is BUT....

The packaging is absolutely horrible on this! One of the worst. I hate how watery it is and how messy the bottle can get. My sister loves this but I just received my free deluxe sample from Sephora and this is really difficult to use. First off, you have to shake the beejesus out of this or else it will separate. And #thestruggleisreal trying to get the product to come out without it accidently dripping out and staining my clothes. Absolutely frustrated with the bottle on this. This gives a light to medium coverage on me but I don't know why my sister says it covers all her acne scars so she says it's more heavier coverage for her. She also says the product leaks a lot from the packaging. Again Bareminerals, what is up with the packaging! You guys make it sound so easy that it will just drip out from the nozzle onto a brush. Wrong! This bottle is the hard kind so it's impossible to squeeze product out. You just have to be patient and wait for the product to come out which half of the time doesn't even want to come out so I have to shake it out and my clothes are all spattered with stains of foundation now. Because this foundation is super watery I do not recommend using a sponge of some sort like a Beauty Blender. This works better with a brush. This product can get kind of streaky so be sure to blend, blend, blend.

Flakies? Keep away

While this range of liquid foundation from BareMinerals has more colors to chose from, be aware that some of these colors don't look quite as great as they are shown. I've run into a few problems with this foundation. It sticks to my flakies that occur due to usage of retinol. You also have to be very careful to blend everything in because there is a chance of streaks.

Perfect: Glowy, Dewy...Light...Terrible Packaging!!!

UPDATE: I wrote the review below and raved about this product...and I loved it so much...but I have two vices with it with it and I have to take my ten stars down to an 7. Why? 1) you really do have to shake it up because it can get very oily, especially as you go through the bottle (I guess the top was what I loved so much, very odd consistency now - it's very much a liquid but the shaking it ap...read moreparently important and 2) the bottle drips so much (I've stopped travelling with it) I feel like I'm losing half of the bottle no matter how much I tighten the top This can be very messy and annoying. Original Review: I have been looking for the perfect glowy, dewy and light feeling foundation for 15+ years and I think I have finally found it. This foundation is the lightest that I've ever felt and gives a very smoothing appearance to the skin. (I don't have much to cover). I have darker skin tones so it's harder to find a foundation that really matches my skin - this one in Espresso is absolutely a perfect match and really makes my skin look like nothing is there but it glows! I didn't even realize that it was a "brightening serum" until I brought it home, I just loved the way it looked and felt...it does brighten! I must also rave about the special brush that they offer with it - it's a must buy! It really does create make up artist effects while keeping the look natural. A little goes a long way. I'm not sure that the line has enough colors to match all skin tones, but if you find your tone then count yourself lucky. Very affordable. Great foundation.

Not bad but not better then the original!

I am definitely a fan of the original bare minerals foundation. Even though I always preferred liquid foundations, the original was a pleasant surprise. I love how this line is free of harsh chemicals and has benefits for the skin. So when I heard that bare minerals was coming out with a liquid foundation, I just had to try it! My color was pretty easy to find I am Bare Ivory 04 and it matched...read more me perfectly. But While this is not a bad foundation, sadly, its not as good as I had hoped. When I first applied it I really loved it. It feels very different from other foundations, although it says that it's oil free, it actually feels a little oily, but not in a bad way it actually feels very good on the skin. It's very smooth and blends easily especially with my real techniques expert face brush. I used about 4 drops and that was about medium coverage for me. After applying it, I loved how lightweight it felt, and how natural it looked. My face really brightened up! So I thought It was wonderful at first but then came the next test, how long does it last? This is where it didn't do so well. After about 3 hours, it began to separate around my t-zone and looked blotchy. Mind you this is without primer because I wanted see how well it did on its own. The next time I tried it with a primer. That time it lasted about 5 hours until it began to do the same thing it did the first time. I was pretty disappointed, if only it had stayed as beautiful and flawless as when I first applied it! It would've been perfect! However my mom also got this, and she loves it, it will last her almost all day. So I guess it works really well for some but not so much for others. So my favorite continues to be the original. I will probably use this up and not re purchase.

Liquid Pigment in a Bottle

The foundation claims to be a brightening serum and makeup in one. This is really running and it can separate so my most important tip is to shake it really well before putting a few drops on the back of your hand or a clean palette before dabbing your brush or tool of choice into it. I highly recommend a more denser brush rather than the stippling style because of the sheer formula, it can take...read more more time to blend and can lead coverage to be streaky if the fibers are more separated. This explains why they did come out with a brush especially for this formula but I did not bother. I used a big fluffy dense brush and it worked just as well. Application was quite effortless as this is definitely better done with a sheerer look. Too many layers or applications of this can look very opaque and unflattering. I love that it is lightweight and hardly feels like any makeup is on my face. To know that serum is in it is a plus but here is why I felt it was not going to last too long on my go to list. This does not provide a buildable coverage for me, especially during my oilier days. It transfers - EASILY. I have tried it with a primer, but there was just something about wearing a serum over a primer that did not sit well with me. I felt like I was not getting the maximum benefit of the product. The finish is satin to dewy, especially if you are already moisturized. I was impressed with the color range especially with my deep yellow tone. However, after three hours of wear, I found that much of it was gone. I even tried carrying a blotting powder and felt it wasn't enough to keep everything fresh looking. It's great for quick out the door and back trips, but for the price, I feel like there is better out there. This formula needs some reworking to make it more universal.

Love, Love, Love this product so very much!!! A little goes a very long way... It is so simple to apply and blends easily into the skin. If I over apply then I just blot a little with a tissue or a rag and then rebuff. It is better to add a little and then let it set than to add more than two drops at once for blendings sake. I think that it is way better and easier to apply than the powder minerals that can clog pores. This product lasts all day when set with a face powder. My skin stays smooth and dewy but not oily which is very, very important for me when choosing a product for my face. I honestly am so grateful for the lady at Ulta that matched my skin perfectly and was patient when I didnt like the first two colors she chose. It is so difficult to find a foundation whether liquid, cream, or powder and not feel like you wasted money when it doesnt match. She even asked me what undertone I prefered and I said yellow so she matched me with what I wanted. To me, yellow undertone makeup is the most univesally flattering which is why Bobbi Brown makeup is so wonderful for my skin tone as well. Between this product and my Bobbi Brown long wear even finish foundation spf 15 in warm beige I am set for life. That and my Neutrogena Compact and I am one happy girl....

Not my favorite

This is a subpar foundation, in my opinion, I knew the coverage would be light weight but upon use I found there was barely any coverage at all. It's also extremely liquidy and thin. I mix it with other foundations that I have for color matching purposes and because I like the added skincare benefits of a serum, but that's all I find it suitable for.

Can't use

I use bare minerals powder foundation so thought I would switch from Dior Airflash to this foundation. Well all other Bare Minerals products are fine but this one makes my eyes swell up and get red and itchy. I have combination skin that can get redness on cheeks but never had this happen. I returned the bottle and tried a different one and the same thing happened. So no from me.

Not a Fan

I really wanted to like this product but I didn't. The consistency is too runny. The coverage is non existent. I like minimal coverage but if I am going to wear minimal coverage then I like some kind of radiance or plumping effect, something. I just felt like this was nothing. That may be a pro for some people but not me.
