I am hooked!
I stopped in the Bare Minerals store a few weeks ago and they did a mini makeover on me. First they tested my skin and found the right shade of foundation for me. Of course I wear the lightest shade and always have a hard time matching, but this was perfect. Gorgeous coverage and quick to apply, but requires a few extra steps to look perfect
I have a hard time finding makeup that fits my skin tone. I have yellowish undertones that are so common with southeastern Asians, and a tan complexion. Most of the other foundations that I have tried have either been too brown or made me look jaundiced. With 20 shades for varying complexions and undertones, it’s hard not to find a match with this foundation. I thought the brush that BareMineral...read mores manufactured specifically for this foundation was too gimmicky, so decided to save twenty or so dollars by using a brush I already had. To apply, I use two drops for each region of my face, using the back of my hand as a palette and dabbing it onto my face before blending with a really dense buffing brush. It takes mere seconds to apply foundation to my face. The result is even, streak free coverage. This foundation is perfect for any amount of coverage, light or full. Two drops on each region gives me medium coverage. I love the way it feels on my face, barely there. Some days, I forget I’m wearing foundation at all. The product promises to brighten skin and improve complexion over time, and I definitely saw a difference after just a few days of usage. The foundation is a bit too moist, and it transfers easily, so finishing powder or setting spray is a must. The formula separates very easily, so I have to shake it really hard. Honestly, it takes longer to shake the bottle than it does to apply the foundation. It tends to stick to flakes of dry skin, so I have to make sure I exfoliate before applying. A good primer would probably also work to prevent that, but I prefer to layer it over my moisturizer and skip the primer.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

did not match my skin tone

So far so good

Bare minerals bare skin foundation
Not a big fan of this foundation. It tends to sink into my pores and the coverage is only fair. Even building it up only makes my pores look worse, and I tried primer first. Great coverage
I received a sample of this with my order. It was enough for two uses. I like how this covers flaws without looking heavy or caking. It faded a little after a long day, but I live in a hot climate.
