Excellent Powder

This is very comparable to MUFE's high-definition powder, except that it comes in a compact. I like the fact that it is rice powder; rice encompasses nutrients and skin-loving ingredients. This never looks dry but cleans up any "oil spills" with no problem.

Mattifying Powder

This really does give a matte finish and removes all oils on my face. I highly recommend this.

Nice, but not quite a loyal fan...

UPDATE: I took this powder down from an 8 to a 6. I think I might have been a bit "generous" the first time around. :) I have been using it off and on and picked it up again for the summer and was really disappointed. Enough so that it went in the garbage after a few weeks. It didn't keep the shine at bay for very long at all and if applied too much, will leave a white cast on skin. My skin is oily in the summer and combo the rest of the year. I think I paid $20 or $30 for it, which is considered a "prestige" brand, according to my pocket book! It is about 4 or 5 times the cost of what I would typically spend for a similar product. It is made out of rice powder and is translucent so it will work with all skin tones. I thought the powder was nice and worked well but there was nothing about it that stood out as anything extraordinary. I paired it with the UD Deslick spray and maybe got an extra hour or two before I had to blot or powder again. If you have the budget, sure, give it a shot. If not, there are other powders (rice included) at a much better price point.

I'll admit, I was very drawn to this powder because of how gorgeous the packaging is. I love pulling it out to blot my face because of the metal floral print underneath the see through purple casing! But onto the actual powder: Formula wise, this powder is just luxurious. It's finely milled and never kicks up a dust storm whether I'm using my brush or the pad included. It's has a slight scent of b...read moreerries or something fresh and clean, but it's so faint I really have a hard time deciding if the powder is actually scented, or It's just my imagination. That said, I can not decide whether or not I like this powder. It goes on very finely, doesn't break me out, and definitely blends in well so that I can't even tell I'm wearing powder unless I look into a magnifying mirror or some such. It also does soak up oil, but not enough that I can actually say it leaves me completely matte after application. If I don't blot with my favorite blotting papers beforehand, I can still feel a little bit of slickness in my T-zone. This might be my application fault, but I do swirl my brush in the powder a couple of times to make sure I have a decent amount of product on the brush. I would ask UD to create a dark colored puff for the compact simply because it's kind of hard to see how much of the white product is on the white puff included! But alas, this powder can't keep my face matte, (or even just dewy or normal-amount-of-oiliness for that matter!) for no more than one to two hours straight. I don't mind the fact that I must pull out my compact and powder again, in fact, I quite enjoy showing off the gorgeous packaging! However, the money I paid expecting this to be a great powder because the names says "mattifying powder" leaves me rather disappointed. I'll still give it a recommendation because of the amazing texture and breakout-free formula, but be warned that it may not have the staying power of many other powders; some of them even from the drugstore!

Urban Decay Cosmetics De-Slick Mattifying Powder

This is a great mattifier, and if you are as oily as I am, this finishing powder really keeps oil slicks at bay. This powder helps keep my makeup really fresh as the day goes on. It is colorless, so it doesn't affect the color of your foundation, it reapplies without going all cakey, and the compact is really darling. It may seem a little expensive, but it really works so well, it is worth it.

Must Have

I am really pleased with this product. It truly is invisible on any skin tone, has a great smell and keeps oil in check. I have normal to oily skin and in the humidity of summer my skin can lean towards oily. I only need to touch up once with this powder and it lasts. It does not cake, streak or get splotchy. The truly invisible colour does not mess up any foundation, blush, etc. I have had no ir...read moreritation from this product. I do not have sensitive skin though, so anyone with sensitive skin may want to check the ingredients to see if any could cause problems. Very oily skin may need to touch up more often. For me this product works well and I will continue to keep it in my purse as a staple.

Urban Decay Cosmetics De-Slick Mattifying Powder

The powered is great to be used on naked skin through the day or on top of concealer. The rice power that this is made up of soaks up the oils and only needs a touch up or two through the day and doesn't get cakey. I always have a hard time picking it up because it gets sold out so quickly, so if you see it, definitely grab it!

Finally!

A powder that actually mattifies and doesn't look all...powdery. You have to go easy though, or it can show up white. You really don't need much though. Just wish it lasted longer.

I really like this!

Was leary when I first bought this BUT I really like it. Takes away shine and does not add cakey powdery look to your face. Very natural. Looking at it in the compact you wouldn't think it'd work that great, but it does. Should last you a long time.

Worth the Price

I have gone through so many oil control powders. They all have failed. I read through reviews on this site as well as many others. I finally purchased this and I am glad I did. It is worth the money to me. I am really pleased with this product. It goes on invisible without ruining my mineral foundation and blush. It keeps my oil at bay without being cakey. I have oily skin and the humidity doe...read mores not help. I put this on after I apply my foundation and only touch up in the afternoon. This product works great for me!
