not up to hype
This mascara is not a bad one but just doesn't live up to expectations that has made it one of CoverGirl's staple items. Obviously it's a volumizer not a lengthener. So judging on volume, it does a decent job but I've had better. The brush feels a bit too big to really coat each indivdual lash but that may get easier with practice. Okay
I'm not a fan of covergirls makeup, like eyes etc. But this is something i purchased more then 3 times! I love length, but sometimes i need that volume and this tends to do that for me. Could be better

10 Best Mascaras -- EVER -
Fabulous!
I saw this on sale at the mall and I was low on mascara so I bought it thinking it would be crappy. But I was so wrong! It is amazing! A good color, it goes on smooth, and I have really thin lashes... And it only took 2 swipes! With every other mascara I use it will take forever to layer, leaving me with disgusting clumps! I love it
Mine doesn't clump or get too hard like a lot of these reviews say. I have naturally long eyelashes and this mascara made them look even longer (up to my eyebrow!) and much fuller. Amazing. Just okay
I was expecting this to be a great mascara from what everyone on YouTube was saying about it. When I bought it and tried it, it was just okay. It actually made some of my lashes stick together. It's just an average mascara. I will say that it doesn't smudge or give me raccoon eyes though. Clumpy

Amazing
I recently found this product for sale amongst the other cosmetics in my local poundstore. I had heard good reviews about it but was under the impression it was strictly available only in the US. It cost me a pound (surprisingly!) but I'm sure it would retail for more in an everyday shop. It doesn't seem to be stocked regularly in that store but I have since purchased it on eBay for relatively ch...read moreeap. After doing a little research on this somewhat mystery product I discovered that it was manufactured by "Procter and Gamble" and is the exact same product as Max Factor's "False Lash Effect Mascara" - also made by "Procter and Gamble". On certain Max Factor adverts it even states in small text that it is 'sold as Lash Blast in the United States'. I have also tried the Max Factor version recently and not onlt is the packaging the same - just a different colour - but the results are too. However it more than eight times the price so I shall continue to scour my local pound shop for this one :-) "Lash Blast" is packaged in a chunky, smooth, bright orange tube. The wand is also bright orange and is one of those thick rubbery ones found in some mascaras. The 'bristles' themselves are only about 2mm long which in my opinon means it will usually thicken lashes nicely. So far I have found it in 'very black' and 'brown black', both of which are rich and pigmented and the consistency is quite thick. It has a shelf life of six months like most mascaras. There is a stopper inside which removes any excess product from the wand which means no clumping! With one coat this product lengthens well, whilst the close together 'bristles' mean it seperates them too. For a natural look, one coat would definately suffice, but I like really thick, plush lashes so I apply another coat whilst the first is still wet. This really thickens the base of them, especially if I wiggle the wand at the roots. Although the brush is large, it can still coat the lower lashes without making a mess or smudging everywhere. This mascara wears really well, without smudging or transferring to the upper eyelids throughout the day. It dries quickly without leaving the lashes feeling too crunchy or brittle, though I have noticed that sometimes the very tips of the mascara flakes off after a few hours but it's not overly noticeable and doesn't harm the lashes below. It is removed easily with makeup removers but will not come off with water alone as some do. I'm very pleased with this mascara overall, I just wish it were more widely available. As I mentioned earlier it does pop up on eBay quite often or you could buy the Max Factor version, but keep an eye out for the bright orange tube as it's a really nice mascara :-)This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
