Comparable to High End Dept. Store Brands

Honestly, I was completely shocked! This foundation is so incredibly smooth and silky. I applied it in the morning and when I checked in the mirror at lunch time, it still looked great. When I looked in the mirror when I got home from work 12 hours later, it had mostly worn off like nearly all foundations do. But there was no separation, no blotchiness, just a beautiful medium to medium/full coverage foundation.

    Not for me

I normally use a tinted moisturizer with SPF and this did not compare to it at all, but that's just me. I also used the easy plastic card to find my skin color and I was still wrong, but that's just me as well.

    Good Coverage, Thick Texture

I tried True Match and found that the color I picked was indeed a good fit for my skin. It has excellent coverage and stayed in place all day without fading. It's definitely a good foundation if you are wanting full coverage and long wear. What I don't like is the bottle - it's easy to waste product because it is very difficult to control how much pours out of the bottle. A pump bottle would defin...read moreitely be an improvement. The bottle is actually the thing that would stop me from purchasing this again - I don't like wasting product, and I'm using this up too quickly for it to be a good value for the price.

    My old college day foundation

This foundation works and solves the problem of finding a good match to your skin. I used to use in in college and it did not break me out. The two key issues are a) you need to determine whether you have cool/warm/neutral undertone and b) where you stand in the light-dark color spectrum. L'Oreal True Match will take care of the rest. It felt nice on my face, like a lotion and stays put all day.

    L'OREAL TRUE MATCH LIQUID MAKEUP

BRITNEY'S WHAT'S HOT AND NEW BEAUTY REVIEW CAN'T "MAKEUP" YOUR MIND? Too dark, too light, too much yellow or too much pink. Picking out the right color of foundation to match your skin is not as easy as you think! Too make it worse, the lights in the store where you are trying on the foundation distorts skin and makeup colors. So what you think is your "perfect match" turns ou...read moret to be totally wrong for you. I can't tell you how many bottles of foundation I have brought home only to find that they didn't look anywhere close to my natural skin color. Believe me I have a box full of "makeup mistakes" sitting in my closet. THINKING NOT REQUIRED L'Oreal True Match liquid makeup takes the guess work out of choosing the right shade of foundation. L'Oreal has a True Match foundation match card that allows you to pick your perfect shade. Simply hold the card up against your arm and what ever color "disappears" is your "perfect match" (simply genius!). My True Match color is Nude Beige. I like to apply liquid foundation with a sponge because it goes on easily, it is easier to blend and conceal and by not using my hands I won't be transferring any pimple causing bacteria to my face. L'Oreal True Match gave me all day, natural looking "goof-proof" color. It also minimized my pores appearance and easily covered all my imperfections (hey, nobody's perfect!). I also like the fact that this foundation contains an SPF of 17 that protects my skin from sun damage. Till then! B.

    Not for everyone

The toughest part about drugstore foundation it deciding if the color in the bottle will match your skin tone. L'Oreal provides one of those clear cards with the shades printed on them, so you can it up to your skin and see what will match. These are handy and often suggest a color that is different than I expected. The problem still remains that I waivered between 2 shades that both seemed close....read more I went for the lighter of the too, thinking it might look a little better and knowing that I would soon be loosing some of my summer color. The foundation is very running and applies a bit sheer. It did a good job of evening out my skin tone, but didn't cover zit or darker red spots. The foundation has a sheen to it (L'Oreal calls it micro-fine optical pearls) that I think is meant to help hide imperfections and impart a dewy look. I thought it made my already oily skin look even shinier. The formula is non-comedigenic, non-acnegenic and oil-free - all must for my skin type. While I didn't feel like the makeup clogged my pores or made me break out, it did make me feel like my skin was super greasy. Maybe it was the moisturizing ingredients, but it wasn't working for me. The color did end up being a tad too light and I had to use some bronzer to compensate for it. Since the formula wasn't working for my skin, I decided not to go buy the next shade up. I know others have had good luck with this foundation, but at $11 it's one of the pricier drugstore foundations. If you are able to find a sample to try first, I would recommend it.

One of the best drugstore foundations you'll find!

Not since high school have I used a drugstore brand foundation. But here I am. 32 and love, love, loving L'Oreal True Match. First, you'll find your shade right off the bat so you won't be wasting money, stuck with one that doesn't work. Not that it has to be exact, which is the whole point of why this foundation is so cool. L'Oreal's Precise Match technology turns a color that might be just a little off into one that melts undetected into the skin also matching its texture so you see beautifully even skin- not makeup. Their formula is great for all ages and skin types since it's free of oil, fragrance, and fillers with a just-right amount of SPF 17. I reached for True Match when I would've otherwise grabbed my Jane Iredale mineral makeup just because my face was so flakey from the Retin-A I've been using, and liquid makeup always makes imperfections look even worse. True Match blended into my dry patches and disguised my redness for seamless coverage that looked natural, and stayed on throughout the day, even without setting powder.

    Accentuated my dry spots

L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Makeup comes in 24 shades, which far exceeds other drugstore makeup brands. I used the foundation closest to my skin color using the color swatch, but when I tried it on my face, it was far too light on me. Maybe it would work for winter? Also, it had a really matte almost powder-like finish that accentuated my dry spots. Seriously, my skin looked 100% better wi...read moreth no makeup on than with this foundation. It did help remind me that it was time to exfoliate, however! In general, I'm not a big fan of liquid foundations and prefer mineral makeup because it looks much more natural on my skin. It might work for light, spot concealing, but still--it highlights dry areas so make sure you're well exfoliated.

    A bit too drying

There's a lot I did like about this foundation. It covered really well. The color matched perfectly. It had a light feel to it that made sure my skin didn't feel weighed down at all. However, even with my combination skin it was just too drying. To make things worse, though it did blend well, it also dried too fast. It will be really good for some people, but skin just didn't like it. Not going on my favorites.
