    Disappointing L'oreal product

Other than having a decent SPF, I really don't like this foundation. Coverage is minimal to none, it's very runny and after a few hours my face looks like I've put nothing on it. It feels greasy on my skin and it takes a lot of powder to make it "set". I've even tried using it without a moisturizer underneath to see if the coverage would be better, but no luck. I know I didn't get a ...read more"defective" bottle of it because I've tried it twice. Skip this foundation and go for a good tinted moisturizer - most of them cover way better than this foundation does. In fact, L'oreal's True Match pressed powder covers better than this!

    Love it.

I am extremely satisfied with this product. I am not big on wearing foundation and this is a nice light feeling liquid that blends very easily. You do not have to use much at all. I dip the lip of my brush in the cap of the bottle and that is all I need. The color matched my skin very well. I usually have a hard time finding the correct shade or even have to mix different shades to find my color. I see some reviews referring to flakiness and I have never experienced that at all. My face glows.

    Perfect for the price!

A foundation with a warmer, non pink base, yay!!! It was luv @ first use. (I'm a W-2/W-3, depending on the season). I'm 44 with imperfect skin (rosacea, slight acne scars), and I am pleased with the coverage this gives. I use a non-latex makeup sponge to apply the product and it works out great! I highly recommend the pressed powder and compact foundation, as well.

    It's a winner!

My big advice about L'Oreal True Match: make sure you get the right shade for you and, after that, the stuff works like a dream. Don't use the transparent card against the wrist like it instructs. Instead, compare it to your jawline. I took a friend to the store and then we held up different bottles up to my chin to find the one that looked the closest -- a much better system. Overall, this is a...read moren excellent product especially at the very affordable drugstore price. It blends easily and naturally for light-medium coverage. The finish is not completely matte but not totally dewy -- essentially it leaves a nice, fresh look to the skin that isn't heavy or mask-like in any way and easily lasts all day.

    love this foundation!

if L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup were on one of those reality talent shows, it would absolutely get my vote! like the True Match Blush, this is designed to match your skin tone, texture and give you a natural-looking finish. while it took me trying two different colors before finding the one that suited me perfectly (C-6, Soft Sable), i am so happy with this foundation! Good Stuff!

L'Oreal has totally hit a homerun with their True Match foundation. I am so impressed with the fact it matches my skintone perfectly (the chart at the drugstore actually works), is sheer enough so I don't look like I'm wearing a painted mask but yet it covers my uneven skintone. It doesn't dry my skin and it's so cheap! I mean, I was shelling out 40 bucks on department store brands and this one is only 8 bucks.

Good for others, not so much for me.

L'Oreal True Match and I go way back. I tested this foundation when it first arrived on the scene, then gradually it moved out of my traincase. I was wondering why this occurred when Total Beauty contacted me to do a review on True Match as part of their Sneak Peek program. I decided that I would test out the "Natural Buff" shade, and see how L'Oreal's reformulation worked. Well firs...read moret off, this product contains an SPF 17, which is nice to protect skin from everyday sunlight. It is, as it states, super blendable... no harsh lines and it really evens out the skin. It did not oxidize on my combination skin at all when I tried it. I noticed that it settled into dry skin a bit, and tended to smudge around if I was blowing my nose or touching my face. I also did not really appreciate an increase in acne that may or may not have been related to the use of this product. Overall, I feel that L'Oreal True Match is a great blending foundation with excellent sun protection. It is readily available at drugstores nationwide. I would only suggest staying away from this product if your skin is noticeably dry, acnegenic or oily.

    Impressive for a drugstore foundation

I'm always in search for a bargain, and recently I had the opportunity to try out L'Oreal's True Match foundation. I picked out my color using a clear card with the different foundation shades. I held it over my jaw and picked the closest match. Color Matching Upon receiving the foundation, I noticed I was a little bit off. The foundation is a tad too "beigy" and light for me. I think t...read morehat there's probably a shade more fitting out of their many options available. However, by setting this foundation with my MAC MSF in medium dark, I was able to correct the color. Application The product goes on really smooth. I was pretty impressed by this drug store foundation. I'm used to using mainly MAC and other professional brands so I wasn't quite sure that this one could compete. However, this definitely reminds me of MAC studio fix fluid. As you can see by the picture it has a very nice finish. You'd still need to wear concealer to correct any undereye problems though. Staying Power The foundation lasts pretty good on my normal/dry skin. However like any liquid foundation, to get it to last, you'll need to use a primer and set it with powder. I had no weird allergic reactions or breaking out, which is a plus! Overall Thoughts I actually really like this foundation. It's very affordable and can be found easily at your local drugstore. It looks great on the skin. I would suggest getting this when you see it BOGO so you can get two shades in case you're a little off with matching. That way, you can mix and match and you'll also have two shades to carry through your pale days in the winter and tanner days in the summer. I'd say this is actually comparable to the Revlon Colorstay foundation. I definitely recommend!

Super Bledndable and Budget Minded, But Still Hard to Match Color Perfectly

If you can’t find a color that suits you from L’Oreal's True Match Foundation, perhaps you are a chameleon, or have purple skin! All kidding aside, this budget-minded foundation takes some of the sting out of not just the cost, but the irritation of buying a product that you get home only to find that it's doesnt look good on your skin. This foundation comes in a cute little vial w...read moreith a silvery screw cap (although I do wish it had a pump top). True Match gives you 24 light to dark, warm, cool and neutral options. The best way to tell if a foundation matches your skin tone is to put it on the jaw line and blend into your neck. If you notice the difference between your face and your neck then it does not match your skin tone. However, if you're buying product in a drug store where you can't try it on first, L'Oreal has given you some clues about how to pick your perfect shade. They offer a little plastic chart at the L'oreal display that has tiny color swatches of all the shades. Place the chart near your jawline, and pick the one that seems closest to your own coloring. If you're unsure, you can also try using the skin on your wrist, or the top of your hand. It helps to know whether you have a cool, warm, or neutral skin tone. A professional will color-drape you to find out, but you can do a quick test like this: hold a white and an ivory fabric up to your face. If your skin "lights up" it's the with white, you are cool, and if it looks better with ivory, you have warm skin. If the white or ivory makes your complexion sallow or ruddy, you've got the wrong one! Alas, even though I am a certified image consultant, trained in color typing, I still picked the wrong shade. It was in the right category, but way too light for me. But at less than $10.00 A bottle, if you do pick a shade too light or dark, you're not making a major investment. Also, these days, if you don't like the product, most drug stores will allow you to return it. So it's pretty much a no risk proposition to try L'Oreal True Match. The good news is that once you have found your perfect shade, L'Oreal has made it easier to identify other products in your color and tone range, using a letter/number ID system. So you can more easily find your perfect concealer or blush, too. The foundation itself is opaque, but also very blendable and creamy–unusually so for a modestly-priced foundation. It will quickly and easily cover flaws and even freckles. The foundation gives you a polished look that goes well with bold lips and carefully made-up eyes. I like the foundation's cute glass vial with a screw cap (although I wish it had a pump). SPF 17 is another bonus, to help protect skin at least a little, from the sun’s damaging rays.
