Best Powder Ever Made!
I am 43 & a former "Department Store Makeup Junkie." I have very sensitive and smooth olive-toned skin and before I tried Bare Escentuals I had tried each and every type of foundation & makeup - from Lancome to Clinique - and I was never happy with the color-matching or the coverage. About two years ago I want to a make up event at Sephora and the make up artist chose Bare Minera...read morels products for me. Since then, I've never looked back and I have changed all of my makeup to Bare Minerals products and I love them all. I use both Mineral Veil and Mineral Veil Light and I love them both for different reasons. Love this!
I only recently started using this over my BareMinerals foundation. I think it is fantastic. It leaves only the slightest sheen but it does not make my skin look oily. Keeps oil at bay
When I first got this with the kit, I thought it was just a way to get you to buy one more thing from them, and then I learned that this absorbs oil. That is one thing that I am very happy about because I have oily skin. BareMinerals are Barely Seen!
First of all, I would like to discuss the fact that the pricing on the whole line of BareMinerals make-up is totally non-expensive. I recieved my Mineral Veil in a set with blush and eye shadow and a few other items. The price had a very low cost considering the quality of the make up! I've tried other powder make-up that is supposed to be "invisible", and nothing beats the Mineral Veil ...read morefrom the BareMinerals line. It's fabulous! It gives your face a natural shimmer, yet the powder granules do not show on your face. This "base-like" make-up is wonderful for covering up the blemishes, but also bringing a highlighted glow to your face. Through-out the course of the day, Mineral Veil doesn't wear off, but it's also very easy to wash off at the end of the day. I simply won't use any other make up now! oil-free?
I used this product a few years ago and it made my skin oily. I also got weird red bumps on my forehead. My skin is very sensitive and tempermental, so perhaps that could be why. I do not use this product all the time but it is good to go on top and give a soft finish. Though if you have a darker skin tone or you used a bronzer it is light. I get the best use of this when I go out in the summer.
