um, no thanks...
I really never got the hype of this mascarra. My mom uses this and loves it, so when I started getting into makeup, I tried this mascarra first. It did nothing to my lashes! All it gave me was a tint of black to my already black lashes...sooo wasn't loving it. I tried it on my bottom lashes, and the small wand was pretty good for the bottom lashes, but I don't do my bottom lashes enough to buy a mascarra especially for it. Old Reliable

Great lash - or good lash

Of all the mascaras I've tried I always come back to Maybelline!
I really love make-up and I love to buy and try new kinds. I have tried all kinds of mascara, I went through a phase that if it was not high end name brand make-up, it wouldn't work as well and I wouldn't buy it. Then I went through times where I could not afford the high end brands any longer. No matter what I tried I always came back to the Maybelline Great Lash. The assets that Great Lash ha...read moreve is that it can be put on quickly, looks great, it's affordable and lengthens and covers in one coat! Many other mascaras I have tried require two or three coats, and still do not measure up to the length and coverage I can get from one coat of Great Lash. I have even tried a few of those mascaras that have two specific coats to lengthen your lashes. Still nothing has measured up. I think Great Lash speaks for itself. My Mom has been using it for at least 30 years (she is 70 now), and I believe this product was around before that. Not So Great

A bit overrated.
Don't get me wrong, I love many things about this mascara. The formulation is not thick and doesn't clumpy. The brush is small but does it job so you can maneuver around your lashes. This mascara is very different from all the rest. Because of the fact that it's waterproof. It will be a must have this summer 2009. You know for the girl who like to look good even under water at the pool's. This long lasting thick formual out lasts any thing I've ever used. It's not only great as a waterproofer but it's super deep dark apperance is a must have. Colorless version provides good hold for brows
I bought the clear colorless version and it worked very well for me. It went on thin the way i wanted it to, not clumpy and although I can feel the mascara on my lashes and eyebrows the formula holds things the way I like it to. When using the colorless formula before colored mascara i noticed a white-ish look when not coating the whole lash with color so I'm not using it that way any more. what's the big deal
I also cannot understand what the big deal is about this mascara. It's just adequate. I suppose it's a good deal for the price, but there are many other mascara's out there for the same price that do a much better job. So Good
