    The best eyeshadow primer..

This stuff works like magic and unlike so many other eyeshadow primers, doesn't result in those annoying creases. I have very oily lids and this is the only product that works!

    Excellent!

My eyeshadow lasts all day with UDPP! I would give it a '10' except for the stupid, stupid, packaging.

    A Rare gem!

LOVE THIS STUFF! Does not look chalky under eyeshadow or feel stiff. Eyeshadow lasts a very long time, and for me into the next morning. A nice surprise, great product.

    Happily on the Bandwagon

Everyone talks about how awesome this stuff is -- and I was not having any of it. But finally, two friends convinced me to give it a shot. Everything you hear is true -- it's fantastic! Everything stays put all day. It's almost scary. I also like how it evens out the skintone of my eyelids, which, as a redhead, are a little veiny and icky. My only complaint might be that this works TOO well....read more I don't usually use eye makeup remover, which I like, because that's one less step in my bedtime ritual. With this stuff, I HAVE to use eye makeup remover. Pretty impressive!

a must but need to perfect the design

Pros: it definetely helps any eyeshadow stay put without any creasing or fading for at least 10-12 hours, it helps bring out the eyeshadow's true color; glides smoothly and melts right into your eyelid Cons: the packaging! the previous wand applicator could not get all the product and it actually would retain alot of product in the bulbous part even though the applicator is dry and has to be depot...read moreted to get your moneys worth *they now have a slanted wand so it might be better? havent tested if it actually leaves product with the curve shaped wand

Great but the product design has got to go!

Urban Decay Eye shadow Primer Potion is a Holy Grail product IF YOU HAVE OILY EYELIDS. It's aloso a HG product if you like to have your eye shadow look “morning perfect fabulous” all day long. Yes. It’s a bold statement and I’m not afraid to say it. UDPP, as I like to call it, is stupendous, incredible, amazing, it slices, it dices it…..no wait. That’s the G...read moreinsu Knife. Allow me to give you some background on my skin. I thought I was going to solve the world’s energy crisis because with the amount of oil my eyelids were producing I could have supported the Tli Cho land transport truckers in Yellow Knife Canada (You know what I’m talking about…near the Arctic Circle…. Ice Road Truckers TV show….is this thing on? *taps microphone*) So as I was saying…my eyelids are oily. UDPP has managed to quell that oil and keep my eye shadow in place and crease free for up to ten hours! TEN; count ‘em ten full hours. No creasing, no smudging, no migrating crease shadow with outer V shadow with brow bone shadow. Heck, even on days when I just wear one color (gasp! Yes it does happen from time to time) UDPP keeps my shadow from creasing like a cheap suit. I love this stuff. I do have some caveats though: a) The packaging is awful. I would prefer a squeeze tube and a see through tube at that. The rigid and opaque lavender Genie bottle-esque container is cute to look at but impracticable as a bicycle is for a fish. You never know how much product is left, and the little stopper at the top of the tube may actually cause many users to think there is less product remaining than there actually is. Personally, I’m just not fond of the color. I think it looks kinda kidde makeup-ey like. For such a wondrous product it needs wondrous packaging. Silver, gold, high shine black lacquer… something regal. Not some reject from the “I Dream of Jeanie” TV show. Barbara Eden’s characters of Jeanie, (for those old enough to remember) was one of my favorite characters and as much as I like the misogynist idea of keeping a sexy woman in a prison like bottle for ones own personal amusement…oh wait. I have gotten off course my apologies to all readers and Gloria Steinem. 2) The doe foot applicator stinks. That awful doe foot makes people feel like not enough of the product is being delivered on their eye…which makes many people use more than they need and in turn they get poor results. I have nothing against Bambi but the doe foot has to go. I don’t like them for gloss and I certainly don’t like them for UDPP but as I am just one woman I cannot convince Urban Decay to change this aspect of their product…trust me I have written to customer service. IV) Corporate Greed. I love Gordon Gekko from the movie “Wall Street” just as much as any child of the 1980’s. The mantra “Greed is Good” has stuck with me all these years (Thanks Oliver Stone!) but only when it is MY GREED not Urban Decay’s greed. The stopper at the top of the tube (as mentioned above) wipes off so much product from the stupid doe foot applicator that many people believe their tube is empty before it really is, which in turn makes them throw a most likely half used tube away only to plunk down more money for another tube which they didn’t need in the first place. Get my drift? Keep your own greed & money; remove that stopper from the tube when you feel that the product is getting low. You will be amazed at how much is still there. Just be careful not to use too much. This brings me to my last point I cannot stress this enough. A small rice sized dab on clean eyelids, patted out w/ your ring finger is ALL you need. People complain that it isn’t working for them or it dried their eyes out….Bunk. (OK maybe not “bunk” but they were probably using too much product and that’s why they had problems.) Trust me. This stuff is gold. OK it’s actually beige colored w/ no shimmer at all but it is worth its weight in gold…not that I know the price of gold on the market today but if gold is worth a lot at the time you are reading this review then UDPP is worth just as much. I will, and have repurchased this product. I always love it when I look in the mirror at the end of a long day and while my blush is invisible, my nose is shinier than a new nickel and my lipstick is a distant memory and being digested like that day’s lunch, I can see the perfect eye shadow & liner that remains and know that I have UDPP to thank.

    Great Eye Primer

I first tried this product when a lady at sephora was doing some eye makeup on me. She used this as the eye primer. It does a great job. It helps make the eye shadow stay put without giving you a sticky or heavy feeling. My eye shadow doesn't crease when I wear this which is always a plus. I think this is the best eye primer out there. Whenever I have since gone into Sephora to get eye makeup done...read more the ladies no matter who it is always used this eye primer so it must be good product. So try it out at Sephora and i'm sure you'll become a fan too.

Perfect to pop out eyeshadows and keep them there!

I only use this when I go out as keeping high-quality shadows and pigments with glitter is always a big problem for me. Stays on all night long and keeps your eyes looking as hot as when you left the house. A must have for any true make up junkie!

    i can't believe it works!!!

i have extremely oily skin, and by 11:00 am every morning, my eye shadow was either severely creased, or completely gone! after using this product, i now wash my face at night after working a double in a hot, humid bar, my eye shadow has not budged!!! worth every penny of the slightly steep price, but it will last you a long time, not to mention save you from running to the bathroom to reapply shadow every few hours. bonus-eyeliner on top lid will stay all day two!

Must have for long-wearing or stage make-up

I initially purchased this eye shadow primer for my daughter who competes in competition cheerleading and had outrageous make-up needs. This primer made her eye-make-up last all day, even through her routines. The colors stayed vibrant and did not sweat off, and application was a breeze. When I tried it myself for everyday use, I was amazed. No more creases in my eye make-up at 3:00 in the afternoon. Awesome.
