    Old formula was better

Me and my sister used to love urban decay’s eyelid primer, but the company changed the formula and it has a different look than it used to. We used to love how it made eyeshadow colors appear more bold and intense. The new formula doesn’t do that. We were so disappointed. We looked at many other expensive brands. Nothing gave us that bold and intense eyeshadow look and allowed our shadows...read more to blend. I am so disappointed that they changed the formula. The tube is much easier to use, but the previous formula was much much better. This formula doesn’t give eyeshadows a dramatic and intense color like the older primer did. It only slightly gives a more pigmented look, and this formula does not make the shadow last longer. I would rather use a certain $1 primer, which is more similar to the older formula. If you’re skeptical, I would put different eye primers on your hand at a makeup store where they allow you to test out different makeup like sephora or ulta. Wait a few minutes, and apply the same color eyeshadow to all the primers on your hand and try to rub it off. Whichever stays wins the game. I did this, and the new urban decay eye primer formula did not win. One good thing I can say about this primer is that it does allow the shadow to blend together well, and it is the best primer for urban decay eye shadows. If you are not using urban decay eye shadows, I suggest trying a cheaper primer. It is not much different than this primer. No one is going to go that close to your eye and think “Ohhh I think her eyeshadow is sliiiiiightly more blended and intense than usual” Not worth the extra money.

    UD Primer Potion

I love UD products, but this one is not entirely my favorite. The product is rather expensive for the size. I bought a full size and a travel size. The travel size is more watery than the full. The bottle is also difficult to work with and the applicator is rather stiff. The full size is easier to apply since all you need is your finger or a small applicator brush! The product itself comes out thi...read moreck but thins out instantly. After letting it dry for a few seconds I notice that it looks cakey on the eyelids and I wouldn't recommend wearing it solo. The eyeshadows do tend to become more vibrant and noticeably longer lasting with it, like most primers do. However, I found that the ELF primer for $1.00 works just as well, if not better.

    Great Primer Steep Price

I really love the quality of this primer. There is a noticeable difference in how long my shadow lasts and the pigmentation of the shadow when applied. I however feel the price is a bit high and refrain from purchasing for that reason,

Best shadow primer I have tried

I was hesitant to start using primers in general let alone one for shadows. I got a sample from a beauty store as a recommendation from an employee. This stuff is amazing and worth the money. It works for any kind of shadow whether its powder or cream and keeps it in place. It doesn't feel like it dries out before you apply the shadow and its thick enough to keep cream and gel shadows in place wit...read morehout fade or creasing. It feels a bit thick but don't let that keep you from trying it. A little bit goes a long way and it doesn't change the color of your shadows despite having a bit of a color to it

Always in my make up bag!

First tried this years ago and thought "what's the big deal". I tend to get oily in certain spots, always on my eyelids where my shadows would crease... Not attractive! I tried this first I believe in a kit that I bought for urban decay. Loved it! It conceals red, unevenly discolored eye area, I even rub a little under my eye along the lower lash line. Completely awakens and brightens your eyes, ...read morebest part is your shadows stay put and helps make colors pop. I purchase this over and over! I'm fair, dry /sensitive skin.

    No more creases

My eyeshadow used to crease horribly within an hour of applying it, no matter what brand I tried. I finally decided to try a primer and this was recommended by a friend. It is fantastic! My eyeshadow still creases a bit but not until the end of my work day and by then I usually want to either enhance my look for an evening out or wash it off for an evening at home. I'm hopelessly hooked.

Must have for an all day wear

Before using this product, I never used a base for my eyeshadow. This came free with my naked palette, and I must say, I absolutely love it. I was bit thrown off by the consistency at first, but after I applied it, I noticed how the pigment of the eyeshadow stuck. I used less eyeshadow, as the primer held the color, without caking on the shadow. The best part is that it last all day. Which is extremely important when I'm preparing for an all day event. By far, one of my favorite products.

    Changed My Life!

I cannot say enough good things about this primer! My sister and I have very oily skin and before the primer potion, our eyeshadow and eyeliner was always slipping and sliding into our creases so that when we would get home after school we looked as though we had no make-up on at all. One Christmas, my mum gave us each a primer potion in the original colour, on the recommendation of the salesper...read moreson at Sephora. Ever since we began using this, OUR MAKEUP DOES NOT MOVE! I have even been swimming with this primer and eye makeup on and it hasn't moved. It is seriously magical. If you are going to buy this primer, make sure you buy the original natural colour - I find that the ones with flecks of shimmer in them don't work quite as well, although they are still a pretty base.

want s great primer buy this!

This is the absolute best primer. I put my makeup on at 7:00am and i'm not exaggerating when i tell you it still looks almost the same at 8:00 at night. I've only bought cheaper or the same price other brands and this is the best by far. Try Too Faced Instead

I first tried this back in 2009 when it had the little crappy doe foot applicator, but besides that it was terrific. I eventually ran out of that, after cutting open the genie bottle to get the left over product at the bottom (like many did, too). I then picked up the new bottle that changed the applicator foot and I just felt something was a little different. It wasn't the same formula to me that...read more I had grown to love. I ended up losing that and eventually invested in the new (at the time) squeeze tube and felt, again, that it wasn't the same. After that I decided to stop investing my money into this product and to try something else, Too Faced Shadow Insurance. It is a lot more effective at enhancing the beauty of shadows and preventing creasing. I naturally have extremely oily lids, do maybe Urban Decay Primer Potion would work for you, but for me it's almost as if I applied no eye primer.
