Incredible powder foundation!
I was hesitant about trying Urban Decay's powders because the prices tend to be higher than I like to pay. But Sephora brand stopped making my perfect shade, so I gave Urban a try. I wanted their finishing powder (love), but Boston Sephora told me they were out of my color and wouldn't be getting more, so I purchased this one in Light Warm. Short story? I'm hooked. The shade is perfect on my fair ...read moreskin and they make 14 shades total in various neutral, warm, and cool tones. I prefer a very light coverage which is easy to get with this powder, but you could just as easily build for more coverage if that's what you like. It's a very fine powder that blends perfectly into skin. I can wear it with or without primer and it looks fantastic at the end of the day. The application sponge that comes with it is soft and easy to use, though the representative in store tested it on me with a foundation brush and that worked beautifully, too (if you're into that--I'm lazy). I like the design of the compact--it's very shiny and pretty, except that it's a little long to fit easily into my makeup case. I can make it work, but I liked the square design of the finishing powder compact better than this wider rectangular one. This is only a minor issue. I received one of those paper samples with this where I only get 3 uses out of this. I used two of the colors that was sent to me so I got a good 6 times use out of this and every time I used this, my face looks cakey. I might have to buy the actual compact to see how it differs. I don't like how it sits on top of my skin and I don't find it to be as finely milled as what the other reviewers said....read more My face looks super powdery with this on. I like the color match on this since it has a yellow beige undertone to this. It seems to blend into my skin tone well without making me look blotchy. This powder gives a better finish the longer I wear it. Overall this review is only based on the sample I got. This may have converted me into a powdered foundation user!
I was a bit skeptical to use a powdered foundation at first because I have very oily skin that is still prone to breakouts and I was afraid that this would not cover blemishes enough. I was so wrong! This powder foundation glides on so smooth and feels like you are not even wearing foundation. It covers as much as a liquid but your skin is still able to breathe. Gets Splotchy
I wanted to love this but it was very average. The packaging was adorable and had a nice makeup pad for application. The powder was super loose which was nice until I realized I had to use a lot to build up coverage. My foundation also got patchy in the late afternoon. Just Love It
I'm usually very hesitant about powder foundations because it tends to cling fiercely onto my flakey skin until the the earth ends. However, Urban Decay did it right. The consistency of this powder is super fine and creamy, and it applies evenly on my skin.
