Don't believe the hype

This tanning lotion is really not all it's cracked up to be. I've used drug store brands that were better. I am an über experienced self tanner user and have tried everything out there from the most expensive brands to the least, and I'm always intrigued when a new product comes along with amazing reviews, so when I read about this product I knew I had to buy some. The color is very uneven and because it's clear going on you can't see where you are putting it, so it's a guessing game as far as how it's going to look, even if all the precautionary steps are taken. It also doesn't help that this product is hard to rub in and dries insanely fast, so if you're into orange knuckles and feet, and streaky legs then this product is for you. Unfortunately, I am not. Also this product is just way too expensive for the amount. Like I said before, because you're unsure of how much to use because you can't see where you've put it, you end up using too much product. I would say one bottle would last no more than three uses. Not even going to start with the smell! Which is one of the main things people said was great about this product!! If you enjoy the smell of overpowering fake coconut then you'll love this. It doesn't at all mask the smell of self tanner and in fact makes it all the more blatant. So all in all waste of money. There are better products out there that are more reasonably priced. Dont waste your time and believe all the hype about this.

In Love!

I've tried numerous self tanners and Tanceuticals is definitely the best! I pretty much love everything about it... It smells delicious (like coconuts), isn't messy at all to put on, and gives me fabulous color (like I've been on the beach for a week!). One issue I've had with self tanners in the past is how long they last. Most of the ones I've tried start "cracking" and fading within just a da...read morey or two. But not with Tanceuticals. I swear this lasted nearly 6 days on me, which is definitely a record! So I think this is a great self tanner for those who want to try one that lasts. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

My "Go-To" Self Tanner

I've been using this self tanner for about 9 months and absolutely love it :) Like everyone says, it smells great. Applying it is easy and not messy. It dries super quick and doesn't leave that sticky feeling that many of these products tend to do. On me, the color is this really great shade of bronze, which I love. And final reason I love it, it actually lasts more than 2-3 days! After about 6 days, it finally started to fade. So, A+ all around for Tanceuticals!

I simply love Tanceuticals!

I'm always on the lookout for a good self tanner and this is one of the better ones I've used in a really long time. It smell great, blends easily, dries quickly and the color is fantastic on my (naturally pale) skin. I also like that the bottle lasts almost 5 weeks because it doesn't take much to get full coverage on my entire body. Definite re-buy on this one :)

The Perfect Self Tanner :)

I work in a dermatologist office and med spa where sun exposure is a big no-no. And after looking around onlin...read moree for awhile, I came across Tanceuticals CC Self Tanning Body Lotion. Even though it had tons of awesome reviews, I wanted to try it for myself before suggesting we stock it in our spa. I'm so glad I did... I ordered it on a Monday and by Thursday I received the package. Right away I loved the packaging. It's clean white and pink colors fit perfectly in a spa like ours :) Before I got home, I decided to open it just to see what it looked and smelled like. It looks like a very light taupe color and smells amazing! I kept opening it and smelling it throughout the day because it smells like delicious, tropical coconuts. Later that night I decided to give it a try. For application, I used latex gloves and the Body Buddy to help with my back. The first thing I noticed was how thin this lotion is. I actually prefer that as you don't have to use very much to get full coverage over your skin. It also makes it super easy to blend in. You don't have to sit there for an hour rubbing it in like with many self tanners. It also dries extremely fast. Again, I think that's because you only need a very thin layer. By the time I walked out of the bathroom, it had for the most part completely dried. Also, it didn't get all over my bathroom sink or towels, which is another major plus in my book. I hate how those thick, dark self tanners that come out like dirty mud get all over everything. Tanceuticals goes on clean and doesn't mess everything up. So fast forward an hour or so and my skin at that point felt great and smelled even better :) When I went to bed a few hours later, I noticed a little color but not much. The moment of truth arrived the next morning after about 7 hours of sleep. I woke up with an absolutely beautiful, gorgeous glowing tan!! At least on me, it looked extremely smooth and complimented my skin tone perfectly. For my hands and feet, I actually used just a dab mixed in with my regular moisturizer and that worked great. No problems there. The next morning I did notice a faint trace of "self tanner smell" but that didn't bother me as I always shower the next morning after applying self tanner. Once I did that, any smell from the product was completely gone. As a side note, I checked out my sheets after showering and i was happy to see that there wasn't any "rub-off". Very happy about that. Throughout the week my Tanceuticals tan maintained very well and started fading at about day 5. It came off pretty much like most high-end self tanners only this one lasted longer than most. After 6 days, I exfoliated and re-applied. Overall, to say I was happy with Tanceuticals would be an understatement. It works perfectly and has great ingredients. Plus it's certified by PETA as cruelty-free (I looked it up on PETA's website). After using it for a few weeks, I told our spa owner about it and she decided to order 50 bottles and sell it in our spa :) The feedback we've received from clients has been very positive as well. So after all this, I'd say Tanceuticals is one of the best self tanners I've ever used :)

Best I have ever used!

This is the best self tanning lotion/cream I have ever used - including extremely expensive, designer tanners. It is smooth and airy, and it absorbs well without leaving you greasy or sticky. The smell is great (like tropical coconuts). It provides some of the smoothest, most natural color I've ever seen. It works best if you put it on right before bed. By morning, my tan is always streak-free and amazing :)

The best!!!

I came across Tanceuticals when searching for a self tanner that wasn't tested on animals and is cruelty-free. So when I finally ran out of the current self tanner I was using, I took the plunge and bought this one. It's a natural-bronze color that was smooth and streak-free. It's soooo beautiful it's insane :) And there's no telltale DHA smell like with many other products. My skin also felt very moisturized which was a huge plus. I totally adore tanceuticals self tanner now :)

Fabulous!

Fabulous product! I got this after reading about it online and love it. I haven't used a lot of self tanners in the past but this is the best one I've tried so far (I've also tried tan physics, clarins and vita liberata). The formula is silky and smooth and doesn't get sticky like some of the others. The color I get with this is gorgeous! It's dark but it is not super dark which I actually lov...read moree because I have fair skin. On me it didn't streak or look orange at all. I also have kind of sensitive skin which is why I was leaning towards a silkier lotion in the first place, and I'm happy to report this didn't annoy my skin at all, so that's better than any other self tanner I've tried. Love the pleasant sort of coconut smell too. Absolutely repurchase.

A++++++ Self Tanner!

I recently decided to try Tanceuticals CC lotion for a trip to Orange County that I had planned for some time. I've used St. Tropez and Xen-Tan with pretty good results in the past but wanted to try something that was "new and hot". Anyway when I gave it a "test run" on my legs the week before, I was so excited about the awesome results! Beautiful smooth color without being too overbearing. I love how it smells and blends into my skin so easily. And it doesn't have that nasty, sticky feeling that so many self tanners seem to have. It does take a long time for the color to develop (about 8 hours for me), so this is one I think you have to use overnight. But the gorgeous tan I got was totally worth it. I used it over my whole body and face right before my trip and was thrilled with the results. And it lasted almost the entire week before it started to fade. A++++++ self tanner in my view!

Great Self Tanner :)

I had a really good experience with this self tanner. I wanted to find one that gave me a little darker tan than what most "drugstore' brands do. It was very even with no orange or streaks. I also like how easy it is to apply and how quickly it dries. For once my bf didn't complain about how my self tanner feels like syrup on my skin! Tanceuticals isn't messy either (no dark spots on my sheets or pillow). I really like the coconut smell too but the next morning when I woke up it didn't smell as good. But after I washed it off in the shower, the smell was completely gone. And I didn't have that lingering self tanner smell throughout the week. I'm glad I found this self tanner and plan on using it all summer!
