Yeah it's "chip resistant" alright, because it "Smushes" you apply the first streaky, thin, translucent coat and let it dry. Then you apply another coat and like the color only to realize after all is said and done you go to tie your shoe, look down at your nicely painted nails and see that your nails now have no color on the tips because the polish has been pushed down and is now in a nice lump in the middle of your nail.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great Color That Lasts Forever
I have the Green With Envy, Pedal to the Metal, and Bold Gold polishes, and I have to say they might be some of my favorite polishes. Though the quantity of polish they give you in a bottle is less than other polishes, two coats without top or base coats lasted 9 days without any chipping, making it a good value, as well as saving me time and money. Also, the polish dries really fast, and the colo...read morers are amazing. The only complaints is that the brush with the cap is a bit awkward, lacking the control of other polish brushes, and the first coat of the nail polish is matte and streaky. Beautiful colors
These are one of my favorite nail polishes, they have such pretty vibrant colors. Its easy to put on and some of the colors I find only need one coat and they even look great without a top shiny coat. These last pretty long too and I am pretty active with my two boys, so the fact that they last through all that I do is pretty amazing. I have a few of these but two of my favorites are iced queen...read more and coral crush. 10 Best Nail Polishes -
Not too Bad
I bought this in Purple Icon. Its not top quality nail polish, but for only $3 you should expect that. So far its been about 3 days and I'm not showing any chipping. I'm on the computer and typing for work so I know I put my fingers throught the ringer. Pleasant Surprise!
When Maybelline came out with the color show line, I was pretty unimpressed. Although I enjoyed the bright, modern colors, I thought for the most part they lacked originality for the most part. However, when I discovered the metallics and purchased “Bold Gold”, my mind was changed. This polish was the perfect gold egyptian queen shade I had been searching for all summer! In the bottle it looks...read more shimmery and glittery; on the nails it is a smooth, perfect matte gold that looks great on fingers or toes. I like to use two coats as a default, although this polish was opaque after just one! I did discover that if you don’t mix up the color well enough before application, it can streak a bit. But that is my only complaint. Staying power was great even without a top coat, and I highly recommend this color to anyone looking into metallic shades. Not my top choice but not bad colors
I have a few colors in this line and I have to say over all I haven't been very impressed by the colors. The polish is cheap ( $3 at Walmart) and the selection is decent ( a lot of different, very pretty colors) to choose from. What I have a problem with is some of the colors are very sheer, requiring 3+ coats to get the color close to the way it looks in the bottle and some colors remain sheer af...read moreter that many coats. I do have to admit though my favorite glitter polish ( and I have stated in other reviews I normally do not care for glitter polish with big chunks of glitter) I own is 305 Gilded Rose in this line. Its a gold glittery base with rose gold pieces of glitter. To get a good amount of color and glitter I only needed to put 2 coats of polish on. The concept is there, Maybelline offers such beautiful colors in a wide variety, they are easy on the wallet ( as previously stated $3 at Walmart but they can be cheaper depending on the color and where you go) and for the colors that aren't sheer they don't chip easily but the biggest con in my book is the amount of colors that shouldn't be sheer are. I am not opposed to sheer polish by any means but the colors look like they were mixed with too much water. And these colors are vibrant blues and purples and deep reds. I usually see sheer colors in soft, pastels. I will continue to give this line a shot since some of my favorite polishes are by Maybelline but I won't get my hopes too high since the odds aren't too high in finding a good pigmented color in this line. DIsappointing
Pretty disappointed with this nail polish - I got 2 colors, Born With It which is a pale pink and another one which is a light apricot coral. I have found both polishes to have the same problem - they do not layer well and they are kind of transparent. My nails underneath look like they have weird horizontal ridges when I put this on. For drugstore polish I'd say Sally Hansen or Revlon are way better. Very Nice
I bought the color Petal Plush and it is a metallic, rose gold/pink. It is a very pretty, wearable color and the pigment is great. I didn't notice chipping for about 4 days so decent especially for a drugstore product. I would repurchase this particular color. I haven't tried other colors because they didn't look wearable. Love It
I absolutely love these nail lacquers! They go on easy and thick but not too thick and they leave a gelish shine. With most of the dark colors I only need one coat with the lighter ones usually 2.
