This kit comes jam packed with everything you need to have a flawless face, it's such a deal. Bare Escentuals is also so clean compared to liquid/cream foundations. If you spill, just dust it off. Bad for dry skin
I know everyone loves the Bare Escentuals Mineral makeup. But it has been completely disappointing on my extremely dry skin. I had to put 3 layers of lotion (creme de la mer) on my skin before I could even use the mineral makeup. Even then, the product looks cakey and it made my skin look completely dry. Best foundation Ever
I realize many aren't accustomed to coverage without a liquid base. I have tried (in no particular order) Chanel, Borjois, Lorac, Mac, Laura Mercier, Lancome and countless drugstore brands. I have pale skin with freckles, and it was always a challenge to find the right balance of coverage for my mild acne without looking like I was auditioning for Kabuki. On a whim I picked up this starter kit at ...read moreSephora and starting the next day I started hearing unsolicited comments about how my skin looked so good. I found that some of the colors were too dark ( a common issue for me) and it took practice to use the correct amount for the coverage I wanted. Functionally this is the best looking stuff I have ever used. On the downside, I can't use close to my eyes (havok if it gets in them), it can be messy (don't get all dressed up and sit down to apply this - do it over a sink or cover up because even a small amount sticks to clothing the way it does to skin). Amazing! I'm pretty sure I will never go back to liquid foundation. And I absolutely LOVE the Warmth- it's gives such an incredible glow. This make-up is so natural looking and gives a flawless look. Didnt live up to its hype.
It worked really great for me at first, stayed on my skin and looked natural. Then after a few days powder was getting everywhere!! all over my bathroom sink, I had to clean every day. After a few months it started creasing on my skin, it no longer looked natural. I know this product isn't for everyone - some report allergic reactions to an ingredient in the foundation powders - but it has worked wonders for my face! I hate the look of caked on makeup, and this kit made it possible for me to achieve a natural, even-looking complexion. Pretty much fabulous
I really like this foundation and the kit is a perfect way to start trying out the whole brand. I ran out of foundation way before I ran out of warmth though. It really only takes a little too much to make it look like you rubbed dirt all over your face.
