What's the all the fuss about makeup with "minerals"
I finally bit the bullet and bought some makeup with "minerals" because its the current rage. To be quite honest -- i was disappointed. Although the product goes on easy, I did not like the look of my skin after application. It was a bit too "matte" for my taste. This is the Beyond the Basics collection-- you don't get the foundation or Mineral Veil or the DVD or anything like that. This is to add on to all that. You get Faux Tan, which is a beautiful color (not dirty, not orange, not pink) and lasts all day. Then there's Glee, a blush, which I like, but don't love (I like a stonger color for my blush). Bare Shimmer, which is nice and adds a hint of color ...read moreall over, or works well as an eye shadow. I like to use this in the winter in place of my bronzer. You get to try both Bisques as well, which I love, both are great concealers and give great coverage. It really is a Faux Tan!
This product is great! I have medium to light olive skin, and find so many bronzers go either pink or orange on me-- or make me look like I have dirt smeared on my face! This one is really sheer, but does the job at the same time. I was skeptical at first-- how can a powder give full coverage? I can't explain it, but I swear I have given up my $50.00 Chanel foundation for BareMinerals. People actually comment on how great my skin looks! I know I sound like a commercial, but I cannot stress enough how great this product is. Love it-Great for Fair Skin
I am red-haired and REALLY pale. Nothing ever matches my skin, but this looks so natural! It makes my skin luminous. This is the only product that has gotten me compliments on my skin! Love It
I used to use either liquid foundation or just powder alone, but nothing was quite right. I was flipping channels one day and came across the infomercial. I didn't want to get hooked, but I couldn't bring myself to turn the channel! I started using just the foundation but now use the blush and two of the eyeshadows. My face has had FAR fewer breakouts since switching from liquid foundation, and it looks so natural! Not for me
I really thought this product would be as easy to use as"seen on TV" But that just was not the case. I did review all the steps on the video and it seemed to me that I might have applying to much powder to the brush. I have tried this several times to no avail... I have never reached the amount of coverage that I need without using to much and ending up with a dry pasty look. I do hav...read moree large pores but other then that I have normal skin. Love this stuff
I have been using bareMinerals for about 6 months and I have gotten my mother to use it and my daughterl. pore alert!
I love this product, but the large pores on my cheeks and nose look hideous if I don't use some sort of primer first, which defeats the "all natural" benefits of this product.
