Messy, Awful brush, wouldn't buy again
I have a whole kit of this I bought on QVC. I am very disappointed. I do like the feel of not really wearing makeup, but I don't find the coverage that great unless I want to wear a tremendous amount of it which seems to defeat the purpose. It makes a tremendous mess on clothes, the bathroom, or wherever you apply it and the brushes are rough and the bristles are always falling out. Ugh. Not too great on its own (for the exceptionally fair-skinned person)
This makeup is better than liquid foundation and improves skin (I guess, certainly not mine since I haven't been using it enough)...but that's where my raves stop. It's cakey even when I use the sheerest dusting, and manages to settle into all my pores (which are tiny) and the miniscule lines around my eyes (and I'm not 60-I'm 28, and have pretty good skin otherwise). It's creepey, and really ma...read morekes me look 60. Plus the coverage is almost masklike-my whole face ends up this solid mannequin-esque color in the morning that has to be punched up with blush and highlighting or else I risk looking dead. (I have really, really light porcelain skin with a bit of redness around the nose and deep blue circles under the eyes.) It allow the blue of my undereyes to show through, a huge minus in my book. Another mineral makeup ripoff called Sheer Cover works better when it comes to coverage-but alas the coloring is a bit too yellow for me, so I mix it in with Bare Minerals to look some semblance of human. Bare Minerals on its own rubs off really easily-bad when one has a runny nose in this cold weather. It doesn't allow enough of my natural coloring to show through (and maybe I'm not applying it righ-I don't use the "Natural Kabuki Brush" or the "Sheer Mineral Veil") but it's still pretty heavy-looking (though feels light).This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Some of it's useful

Great foundation for people with oily skin
I have very oily skin and most liquid foundations have clogged my pores and felt very heavy. bareMinerals is the first powder foundation I've tried. It's light and makes me look natural, only better! Trying
I am in the middle with this product. I love the looks that I see on TV, I still haven't achieved the same look as they do. But I am hopeful. I don't like the look of makeup, so I am striving for the au natural look. Hopefully I will figure it out like most have. Perfection
For many years I did not wear foundation because I didn't like the feel of any of it. Then I found bareMinerals. I have tried other powder foundations, cheaper ones, but nothing compares. My biggest sale on this was the coverage it offers. It will hide those imperfections we tend to get so that only you know they are there. The Best Natural Tan Ever!
I live in Florida and can tell Natural from Fake any day of the week...Bare Escentuals Faux Tan All-Over Face Color is the ONLY makeup I have ever seen or used that is absolutely naturaly looking! It goes on smooth and just looks so natural on any complexion tone. I get so many compliments it is unbelieveable! Not good for sensitive skin
I used this product for about 6 months and found that my skin kept breaking out due to some of the ingredients. I do, however, feel that the mineral makeups, overall, are much better than any liquid/powder makeups on the market today. They do a much better job of covering flaws while still looking natural.
