I fell in love with bareMinerals two years ago. I had a few friends who used it and I saw how well it worked for them so I decided to give it a try, and I haven't used anything else since. I love how real and natural this product looks, you can hardly tell you're wearing makeup; and while some makeup can look caked on, that is never a problem with bareMinerals. not the best coverage, but...
I have very acne-prone skin, and I had really hard time finding foundation that won't irritate my skin and provide ample coverage for my acne scars. Well, I heard about this product from informercial and did some research, and finally ordered a $60 medium/medium beige kit. I had to get another shade because it was too dark for my skin. Pro: a) This founda...read moretion definitely doesn't irritate your skin and I think I breakout less. b) It's very light, and I feel like my skin can breathe even though I'm wearing a makeup. c) It definitely cuts down a.m. makeup routine < 2 minutes once you get used to it. Con: a) Because it's light, it doesn't cover everything, even if you use that concealer brush for more touch ups. b) Although it says it contains SPF 15, you absolutely need additional sunblock. c) If your skin is dry, you need a good moisturizer. I absolutely love this stuff!
I agree, if you want to try mineral foundation, go for the original not those who have tried to imitate. It's a bit pricey, but it honestly lasts FOREVER. The original is still the best. bareMinerals foundation is supremely easy to use and works for every skin type and color. It covers beautifully and feels like you are wearing nothing at all.
