    Waste of Money

Conair Shiny Styles straightening parts did absolutely nothing. It takes about 20 minutes for the mechanism itself to heat up to its maximum potential. The crimping, wave, and shape parts work but damage your hair intensely. The effects last roughly around 5 hours. Not very impressive. There are plenty other higher-quality straighteners that cost less than this.

Not worth your time or money

i cannot stand this. it takes forever to heat up, and then even longer to even straighten your hair. it leaves your hair frizzy and in worse condition then when you started. i know it seems cheap, but thats because it is cheap, cheaply made!!!! do not waste your time or money. you will be disappointed.

    The heating issue.

I got this when I was way younger. My main issue with this product is how long it takes to heat up. I used to have very thick, long wavy hair before my surgery a couple of years ago and it would take near three hours to make any type of difference on my hair.

    Hard to use

I have this straightner somewhere in my cardboard. I used it once found it a pain to change out the plates and the amount of time that it took to heat up also was a pain to me. I guess this product is great if you are 15 and have 2 to 3 hours to fix your hair but as a busy working mother I do not have the time and I need a faster, easier working product. Therefore I promptly went to the store a...read morend brought a different staightner that heated in 25 seconds and was much easier to use. Also, the price was half of what I paid of the Conair price tag at the time I purchased it.

    spend more to get more

This was my first straightening iron, and it sucks! The plates don't really get the hair smooth and straight, and why would I need crimping and even tighter crimping? Wish I went directly to a ceramic iron that I ended up buying after this.

    Not the best.

Conair is a great brand but this product wasn't there best product, it really wasn't even good. It is a neat idea for young girls who haven't quite hit teen years but are mature enough to use electric stylers in their hair because they wont mind if it works perfect or not. and it has interchangeable plates that make cute patterns in their hair. I how ever don't really want cute patterns in my ...read morehair and I have come to find any time a styler has interchangeable plates it never gets hot enough to work in thick wavy hair like mine so for us adult women out there with any thing other then thin hair I personally suggest another product.
