May not work for everyone but it is perfect for me!

I started using BM almost 8 years ago. With the price, I have tried 3 other very popular foundations (both liquid and powder) but always find my way back to BM. I think the biggest thing for people to remember is that everyone's skin is so different. Just because it works for me, does not mean that it will work for you. I HAVE to use the BM Oil Control Primer with it while my sister needs no prim...read moreer and my mom needs the original primer. We all use BM but in different ways because we have different needs. The most important thing I have learned is to always purchase a new product from an actual BM boutique, not Ulta or Sephora. They will let you exchange or return any product that isn't working without any problems. They will try to help you find something else that will work for you but they won't push. Not everything works for everyone and they actually understand this concept. Also, they now have 3 different forms of foundation: Original ("luminous"), Matte, and now READY (pressed). Also, the different brushes really do give you different coverage so find the one that is right for YOU.

    Not for me

I jumped on the mineral makeup bandwagon five or six years ago and fell off within six months of starting. Bare Minerals Original was the first and last MMU I used. Like everyone else, the first application looked so pretty; I instantly fell in love. But this didn't last. First, every time I used this my face would itch. Not just a minor itch, but a burning, uncomfortable itch that wouldn't subsid...read moree. Then I began erupting in cystic acne which highly unusual for me. Actually, I'd never had cystic acne before using this. I began doing research and found that many others were having similar reactions. The funny part is that I didn't put two and two together until I read another person's review on Bare Minerals. She was having the same problems with her skin and it turns out that an ingredient in this (bismuth oxychloride) can be an irritant for some people. I stopped using this and my skin cleared up, but it took a while. I will never use MMU again after that. I guess I'm a liquid foundation kind of girl!

    Best mineral foundation

Best stuff out there! Coverage is great, feels so good on skin, easy to remove, creates a wonderful glow and its gluten free. I'm always getting comments on my skin thanks to Bare Minerals.

    BAREMINERALS ORIGINAL SPF 15 FOUNDATION

BAREMINERALS ORIGINAL Matte SPF 15 FOUNDATION is one of the only foundations I wear. I love the way it feels, it goes on so light like if I am not wearing anything at all. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that I have moisturize some parts of my face a little more because it can look kind of dry. Makes My Face Look Perfect -- In Photos

I got this powder in the wrong shade, which is certainly my own fault, so i'll just talk about the coverage and application. First of all, a loose powder is always going to be a bit of a pain. Eventually it'll spill or you'll get too much on the brush or it'll wind up on your clothes. So that's an issue. The next issue is that it's hard to get good coverage without using a kabuki brush, but the...read moren you wind up applying a little too much and have a powder mask. Finally, when all is said and done, you go out feeling that your skin looks great, you can confirm it in your Facebook photos the next day, but in the mirror at the bar or the club or the restaurant, *you* can tell that your face looks like it's covered in chalk. So while this is great if you want to look flawless in your wedding photos, for all occasions when you don't expect to be photographed all night, you're better off with a more natural finish.

    nice buuuuut

BE Mineral foundation seemed to give good coverage and felt light on the skin BUT I notice after usung it for mutliple days in a row I breakout in little bumps all over my cheeks. As soon as I stop using it after a few days those bumps go away.. I've tried this a few times and noticed the same results.. What's a girl to do!?

    Love This Foundation

BareMinerals by Bare Escentuals is the only foundation I use. I used to rotate through various drugstore brands and never felt satisfied with the consistency or texture and was never able to find a brand that matched my skin tone. On a whim I purchased the $20 Bare Minerals starter kit at Sephora and been a devoted customer since. When I first bought the kit I had to re-think how I applied my m...read moreakeup. It took time, but when I figured out how to use the product and the buffing brushes the coverage and match to my skin tone was much better than any other foundation I've used.

    I love this foundation

Not a miracle foundation but still the best I've ever found. Full, even coverage and lasts all day.

    Flawless and perfect match

Excellent buildible coverage. The key is to "buff" the product on in a circular motion as recommended. This is a very natural looking foundation which also provides coverage of uneven skintone. My skin tone is very fair and was pleased to find a perfect match with "fairly light". The consultant at the boutique was so informative. It was obvious she had a beauty background. I suggest a trip to a boutique to get the royal treatment!

    It's ok

This powder is ok. It looks mostly natural and covers well. But it's definitely over priced and doesn't last very long. This powder somehow makes the pores around my nose look SO much bigger. I experience the same thing every time I come back to using Bare Minerals. It's also a little itchy and somewhat clogs my pores. It's also VERY messy to apply. The only thing I really like about it is that I ...read morecan achieve full coverage relatively quickly. But I don't see myself buying this again. My pores can thank me later.
