Great product for oily and acne-prone skin
I have been using this product for years now and I love it! I have always had oily skin and I have always had break outs, too. This product gives me good coverage and absorbs the oil. I use the big fluffy brush and the concealer brush and the product goes on great. It can be a little messy, but that doesn't bother me. Just don't sweep it off because it'll streek on your clothes. Its got its plus and minuses
I am a woman of color but very light skinned. A friend of mine convinced me to try them. I was a bit skeptical as it is hard to find an accurate foundation color for my skin. I was plesantly surprised and this is what i wear for day makeup or to set my foundation. It takes some getting used to. First, its better for oily/combination then dry skin. When you first put it on, it looks a little ashy b...read moreut once it sets, it looks pretty smooth and even. Finally, you can't use it liberally like you would a regular loose powder. The product has way more pigment so youo have to use it lightly and in layers - a little all over...then a little more...etc until you get the desired coverage. 4 years and still loving it!
My mom (in her mid-50's) introduced me to this and I haven't looked back since. She wears it beautifully, and her lines and oily skin look matte and lovely all the time now (before she had a little bit of a cake-face going). I love that it has built-in spf, so my moisturizer doesn't necessarily have to have it. It will rub off, but for normal everyday wear, it's fine. (I'll be wearing another foundation for my wedding, for example.) I don't need to touch up during the day, but I do blot once in the afternoon, just to remove some shine from my t-zone, but the makeup still covers after that. Bare Minerals are the best

I HATE THIS PRODUCT!

Good for younger skin
I'm over forty so this was awful on me. Good and glowing from a distance but up close it highlights pores and fine lines. I had to return it. I tried every way to buff it on. Absolutely overrated

A Bare Escentuals Fan
I have enjoyed my Bare Escentuals foundation. I have oily skin and other foundations can look really oily on me but Bare Escentuals foundation keeps my skin from turning into an oil field by the end of the day. It goes on easily and can be layered to provide more coverage if you need it. It looks natural on my skin and feels like I'm wearing nothing at all.
