    Bare itch?

I love the coverage but what i don't like is the fact that it made my face totally itch to death where its all natural and has zinc oxide in it...it may be good for zits ,etc. but i couldn't get past the itchy effect that it had on me.

    My first start

Bare Minerals was the first foundation that I used when I was changing over from liquid. It went on very smooth and made my skin look younger. When I see it advertised, it actually does what it says. I would usually wear it just to cover some dark spots on my face, but then I would catch myself wearing it all over. Thank you Bare Minerals.

Best Foundation For Extremely Oily Skin, Hands Down

I have THE oiliest skin on the planet. Bare Minerals is the only foundation that doesn't turn into a slushy mush in the creases in my nose after a few hours. It covers well without looking mask-like, has HUMAN skintones (unlike many weirdly tinted foundations that look like alien or mortuary makeup), doesn't EVER break my face out, calms redness, lasts all day and actually improves the overall t...read moreexture of my skin. As with any foundation, sticks excluded, you need a concealer for blemishes... but for allover uneveness, spider veins, etc... this covers beautifully. I don't recommend the Kabuki brush they sell to apply this, though. Instead, I use a flat headed, badger hair, bronzer brush to apply. This gives just the right amount of coverage when you load the brush well (slightly more than they advertise), swirl & tap off excess (but don't over tap), and apply in a circular motion (reloading if necessary). I haven't had any problems with caking later in the day since switching brushes. You really can get an "airbrushed" appearance with this type of brush (they can be purchased at Crown brushes for less than $20 **not affiliated**). I recommend exfoliating and moisturizing with an oil-free foundation to prep skin (I use Clinique's 3-step for oily skin). Several brands of mineral foundation have tried to mimic BE since the craze began, and I've tried most of them. BE is still THE BEST, HANDS DOWN.

Good coverage but not for oily skin

Initially, I LOVED this product. That's because it little bit of product covered all my problem areas. I have skin that scar easily and haven't been able to find a decent concealor or corrector that fully hides it. Until I tried Bare Escentuals founddation. I was elated! It was only after a few weeks of using it, I started to break out like crazy. My skin went from normal to oily and has not recov...read moreered since (it's been a year). After I stopped using the mineral foundation and switched to a liquid foundation like MAC's Skinfiinsh, I stopped having as many breakouts and didn't get as oily. I think the minerals in the formula caused some kind of reaction that made my skin produce more oils. I have talked to other people who have tried it and the same happened to them. This is a great product if you have DRY skin because it was actually end up moisturizing it. Overall, use at your own risk!

    Love it!

I have severe discoloration on my face and this is the only thing that will cover it. I also have very sensitive skin and many products make me break out but not Bare Escentuals! It has changed my life, literally and made me confident again to go out in public, can't say enough good things about it, worth every penny!

    Good coverage and Looks Natural

I love this foundation, i use it more in the summer, because most liquid foundations melt off in the summer! but this foundation does great in hot weather, living in the CA, it can get smoldering HOT! My guy likes that it looks natural, it enhances your skin without making you look made up.

    Best mineral foundation I've tried

My mom and I decided to try out mineral foundation two years ago. She ended up getting Bare Minerals while I went for Urban Decay Surreal Skin Mineral Foundation (because I did not have a color in Bare Minerals at the time). I used it and liked it... it worked fairly well. Then, just for fun, I ordered free samples from Everyday Minerals. Those were okay. Coverage was not as great, but I use it if...read more I'm just chilling at home. Then I got a sample of Bare Minerals when I found there were more shades. I FELL IN LOVE. The look of it on my skin was so different... Urban Decay was great, but it left a more powdery, patchy look on my skin sometimes. But Bare Minerals glided on smoothly and the coverage was a lot better. I loved the look and feel of this foundation better. I'm almost out of my second pot of Urban Decay's foundation, so I finally switched and bought Bare Minerals. I can't wait to start using it. :]
