    I had to return mine

Since I have sensitive, acne-prone, blemished skin, I decided to try BM after listening to all the hype. I was totally dissatisfied with it and had to return it because it did nothing for my blemishes. If you have blemishes, this is not the product for you!

    Happy customer for 4 years.

I bought this after seeing the infomercials the summer of 2005. I was 18, had extra cash from working, and decided to give it a shot. For $60, I got a very, very good product that I am essentially very pleased with, though it did take me several uses before I got the hang of the "swirl, tap, and buff." Since I have large pores and blackheads I have to be careful with how much of this stu...read moreff I actually put on, and I have to buff to the very last inch of my life. Despite the effort I have to put into it, I have never been happier with the results. My skin tone evens out, looks and feels natural (I love that I don't feel it on my skin), and I get compliments that I've never gotten before. Some days are better than others, of course, and even though this makeup is supposedly healthy enough for you to sleep in, I tend to break out a little more if I don't wash it off (but not like with liquid foundation). I haven't seen this so-called "skin improvement" that you're supposed to get after prolonged use, but I'm not expecting miracles to be worked here. At $25 each it seems a little pricy (for a poor college student), but considering each large container of foundation lasts me a semester, it's a steal. I feel like this -has- to be used with the mineral veil for a truly flawless look. It usually lasts me about 10 hours before it appears noticeably worn, which personally doesn't bother me. 9 stars overall. Love this stuff.

    Large pores

This product is good if you have large pores and stay away from the shiny or sparkle side of this line of make up. Soft focus is better. The only thing I don't like about it is sometimes it makes my skin itchy. worth a try

For the amount of money you could pay for "top of the line" liquid foundation, you can try bare minerals at a fraction of the price. I wore liquid makeup for fifteen years because my skin became dependant on it. Never would i go anywhere without makeup. I always had breakouts. I tried bare minerals and the powder actually kept my skin drier during the day, which reduced the amount of bre...read moreakouts I was having and eventually cleared my skin up so much that now I don't have to use anything at all if I don't want to. I usually just use the concealer now to dap a little over my undereye area. I had excessively oily skin so the product's drying effect helped me. However, if you are a person who has dry skin, I can see where this product would not be helpful for you and would even wind up looking cakey. However, if you have tried everything else out there, twenty five bucks is not that much just to give it a shot.

    One and Only

I've used this foundation for years, honestly it does what I want it to do. I'd suggest for anyone to try it, but don't get your hopes up. It also makes my face feel more natural and not over done.

    Sheer coverage

I've used several mineral foundations, this is the sheerest. It also covers my eczema when I'm having an outbreak.

    Make-up that's not made-up

To look smooth and clear this will do the trick without the smearing and tell-tale "margins" of liquid foundation.

Blah..not worth the time or money.

Ok...I was really hoping this would be the 'one'. The foundation to end my search. Alas...it was not. First, I am fairly fair and have a hard time finding the right shade. Usually I can't find a light enough shade. Or the shade is too light, making me look like chalk. I tried the 2 lightest shades of BM. The lightest shade was too light, making my skin look chalky. The next one down was too y...read moreellow, making me look jaundious. I tried mixing them with no luck. It was never right. Second, I don't know if it was the brushes or the powder itself, but this made my skin itchy. I don't have senseitive skin, so I don't get it. Third, I had a really hard time getting the right coverage. I'm under 30 and don't have wrinkles, yet when I applied this I suddenly had wrinkles on my forhead, eyes, and mouth creases. It would also settle into the pores on my nose, making them look much larger and my gave my skin a rough appearance. If I applied more, I looked cakey. Also, whenever I would sweat, BM foundation would gather on my brow bone beteween my eyes, in the corner of my nose, my chin, and around my eyes. YUCK, and not so pretty when you realize how you look after who knows how long, and how ever many people you've just talked to. I tried all the tricks the others have tried. Even using various foundation primers. Nothing worked. I like some of their other products, such as some of their eyeshadows and blushes, but HATE HATE HATE the foundation.

Bare Escentuals, Bare Minerals id. Foundation

My friends told me to get this foundation because it was so healthy for my skin. I am not convinced. I've given this product a lengthy try out actually using one whole container and buying another thinking I would somehow see some benefit. I found this product actually accentuated the lines on my face and did not really help with my oily skin. I also felt that it gave me a slight acne problem c...read moreausing raised bumps and rough patches on the side of my face. When I stopped using the foundation the bumps and roughness went away. So, what I was convinced was supposed to be so healthy for my skin was not really healthy for it after all. Also, it is really hard to get off even with make up remover.
