    My Number One Foundation Choice

To say I love this product would be a grave understatement. I jumped on the Bare Minerals band wagon back in November of 2003 and I still love this product. For almost two years before that, I'd sit and watch it on TV thinking, "Yeah, Right. Another gimmick." Finally, I decided to go to a Bare Escentuals store and what a change. The consultant forewarned me about pores and pigments. Ve...read morery honest and up front about the fact that I might not be happy with it and it doesn't work for everyone. My skin felt like I was wearing nothing. It covered the acne and scarring I did have as well. I walked out of the store with a 3 OZ/ 9 G single jar of foundation and it ran me $25.00 back then. That same jar lasted me 9 months! Looking back almost 7 years later. I still love the product. My skin is probably the best I've ever had it. I stopped breaking out, my skin tone evened out, my pores actually seem to have shrunk (That was after the first 2 months!) and it's still holding true. If I look back over the years, I think I've maybe spent $200 on foundation. It's definitely been worth my money. I only have one complaint about the foundation, and that's the fact that due to the SPF in it, if your taking photos at night, your going to look ghastly pale. The SPF in it reflects light, as it's supposed to. That's why I've rated it a 9 out of 10. Otherwise, it'd be a 10 out of 10. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try a mineral makeup. It may work for you, it may not. If it does, be prepared for a love affair.

the only foundation i will put on my skin

This foundation worked wonders for my highy sensitive, acne prone skin. I have used this foundation for three years and can't imagine using anything else. It's buildable coverage, in other words you have to use more powder on problem areas, but it does still look natural and doesn't irritate my skin. I do have to use a primer with it because it wears off after a few hours. Also it can be messy at first, but i learned after a few tries how not to get it everywhere.

    Best Ever!

I have very sensitive skin with redness and large pores. This makeup feels wonderful on and I have addicted several friends and family members to this brand also. People don't comment on my makeup they just say my skin looks awesome. It is a little messy but I will happily clean up the mess to get these results and will never ever us anything else!

    The Fool Proof Foundation

I LUV this foundation! Before this, I would always get lost in the aisle/cosmestic counter trying to decide which is the right shade of foundation for my skin tone. I didn't really buy the miraculous transformations at first when I saw the TV ads, but after trying it myself, I would have to say that it does live up to its claims. Its loose powder and brush make it very easy to apply and because...read more it's light, you will less likely overdo it (I hate it when foundations are too cakey - makes me look like I'm wearing a mask). It's fairly priced (~$25) and one jar will last you a while. I wish that their packaging is a little bit more portable so that I can carry it for touch ups, but overall it's a fantastic foundation (and the only one I use). It's totally worth it!

I don't like it at all

No matter what light you are in, you look silvery. Heaven help you if you have dry patches on your skin...ugh. Highly advertised, and highly over-rated! I can't understand how people think they actually look good in it!

Actually matches my extremely fair skin !

This foundation is the only one I have found of any type that actually matches my extremely fair skin (I use the "fair" shade) ! Unless you are as pale as I am, you don't realize what it's like to literally have to use baby powder to set you makeup & tone down your too dark foundation (because you couldn't find a lighter shade anywhere affordably). When I was introduced to this fou...read morendation upon the recommendation of a co-worker 4 years ago, I was thrilled ! No more dark jaw line from my foundation. No more orangey looking base. I've gotten compliments on my pretty skin over the past 4 years that I never received before using this product. It covers surprising well for a powdered foundation. The intensity of application depends on the brush you use & how much product you apply. I do have to moisturize well before using (my skin is on the dry side of combination) so that it looks good (not dry). I would cry my eyes out if they discontinued this product & shade!

ID BareMinerals is the new "IN" makeup

The first mineral makeup that I recall coming out was the ID BareMinerals. I like to try new things so obviously, I had to take a shot at trying this foundation. I do not have very large pores but I do have some fine lines and some deep grooves in my nasolabial folds. I like full coverage when it comes to foundation and I found that the more product I used to cover imperfections, the more it settl...read moreed into the nasolabial folds. The product is best used for light to medium coverage for someone like me. The DVD that comes with the Start Up kit does explain that only a minimal amt of the product is needed for the whole face and you could add more if you want more coverage. I guess if you want heavier coverage, you have to deal with it settling into lines and grooves although all foundations I have used do the same thing. I do enjoy the Bare Minerals makeup and they have a lot to offer. I have a large supply of their products and there is a lot you can do with them once you learn how to combine them. Don't count out the Bare Minerals yet, just use a little less.

Holla, girl I love this powder.

It doesn't look matte on me at all! It looks fresh and light, while still helping me cover most imperfections. I use it with Nars Org*sm blush and it's a great combo. I love this powder, good staying power.

May Not Be For Everyone, But I'm A Believer!

I've been using Bare Minerals for a little over a year now, and I can't imagine not having this product in my arsenal. I have tried, as most of us women have, I can't even tell you how many foundations over the years. Liquids, mousse foundations, creams, cream to powder, loose, you name it, it's made it's way on to my face. This is the FIRST foundation I ever put on and really thought "W...read moreow, my face looks really good". I feel so much more confident when wearing this product, and if I were to be in a super rush to leave, this is the one thing I would take the (very short amount of) time to put on. It's quick, easy to apply, and it works! I'm 37 years old, and my skin is generally in pretty good condition. I don't get blemishes very often, but I do have freckles, and if I had one complaint about my skin it would probably be that it sometimes just looks a little blotchy or uneven in tone to me. Bare Minerals really works with that, and when I'm done applying it the difference in how much smoother and even toned my skin looks is just fantastic. These products are probably what most would consider a little pricey - sure, there's a lot out there that's cheaper. But to me the fact that they last so long and provide such great results really makes them a very good value. I'll be using Bare Minerals for a long time to come, and I'd recommend anyone who is looking for a good quality foundation to give it a try!
