Love It
I tries for years to find a foundation that I loved- I only found a few I didn't truly hate. I have oily skin and everything slid off my face, Bare minerals is so different. Not for me.
This product wasn't for me, but I can see how some would like it. It's one of those amazing hit and miss products like proactive, It either really works or it just really doesn't. For one, it doesn't come in a light enough color. I tried the lightest color possible but it still looked way too dark and unnatural on me. I like it...
This product was given to me by my Mother who didn't like it for herself. Being that I am dry and dark skinned AND not a true foundation wearer, I was hesitant at trying BareMinerals. But it actually works for me. Like most mineral foundations, it gives me that "doesn't feel like make-up" feel and it blends in relatively well with my skin. Flawless coverage for my pale skin!
I'm pale, and this is great! However, don't use too much, it can looked caked on or if your skin gets oily...it looks terrible. After the first few days, you'll get the hang of it, and it will look great! You really don't need to buy the whole starter kit.. Perfect for the makeup phobic
I never wore makeup before I found Bare Escentials. I didn't want to have a long morning routine and I felt comfort in knowing that if I really wanted to I could put on some makeup and wow everyone. But then I started getting into my late twenties and the years of acne, squinting and laughing was starting to take its toll on my youthful appearance. I invested in the starter kit which has the foundation, warmth, and veil and brushes. It covers up my flaws and no one ever suspects that I have makeup on (which feeds my ego). I use the light and fairly light colors and I think they are best for someone with a yellow skin tone. Ive been using Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals foundation ever since I very skeptically ordered the trial kit from an infomercial- Its been 5 yrs now and I will never, I repeat never, go back to messy icky liquid makeup again! This is easy to use, lasts all day and gives perfect coverage- depending on how much you put on anywhere from light to heavy coverage. My face looks flawless and all the blemi...read moreshes and imperfections are covered completely with this stuff. I use either a buffer brush or a powder puff to apply it. As far as colors go, I alternate between fairly light and medium beige depending on the season.
