Make sure you're not allergic to minerals!
I tried this product 3 years ago, and I didn't know I was allergic to mineral makeup. At first, I thought it was awesome. I liked the airbrush look. But after a month of using it, I started developing cysts, not pimples, cysts on my forehead. I had clear tanned combination skin and I rarely had pimples. If I do, it would be one small one on my chin or 2 on my forehead. Because of this product, I h...read moread at least 10 on my forehead, two on my chin, two on my cheeks (which I never had before)...etc. My self esteem disappeared and my clear skin was gone. For 2 years, I went through countless facials, and beauty products trying to reverse what Bare Minerals did to me. Thankfully in April, I tried Kiehls and it did the trick, and my skin is now clear, not the same, but finally clear. great natural look
It's really light and doesn't feel like foundation at all. This does a great job of evening out my skin, but it doesn't cover up as much as I would like. love or hate
I really think this is one of those products that you either will love or hate, no in between. It wasn't right for my skin and didn't cover well. Also it didn't last. If it worked like I hoped it would, I would even put up with the huge powder mess. But I have friends who think this product is genius, and it works great for them, so try it for yourself. I have been using for a while. Not good when skin is dry. It looks nice, but does not last. Extremely messy. Do not like the powder all over sink, makeup bag and jar. Still need concealer of dark eye circles. I have tried other BM products like Well rested and revedup eyes and they really do not help. Just switched to PurMinerals 4in1 and am happy. I love this foundation!
This is the best powder foundation I've ever tried. When I tried it for the first time, I was applying too much powder and yes, it looked cakey and fake. After several applications, I realized that "less is more" and it works wonders! looks great at first, but fades
This foundation did not last on my oily skin and did not provide good coverage for acne. Bare minerals looked great on my friend who has combination skin and she received many compliments. great in warm months
I've switched to loose powder makeup because of this company and really like the feel of 'nothing' on my skin, but it works much better for me when my skin is more moist - not good in the winter.
