I will say this almost lives up to all of it's claims. I believe this is the original/ ultimate mineral foundation BUT I'm sure many copycats would work just as well. You could consider this a comment on mineral foundation in general. I only have experience with this and Avon version. It has it's problems...
My sister had tried this product and been displeased but it seemed like a better choice for me as I have much more sensitive skin- (combination) and do not like the feel of foundation. I am very pleased with the speedy application, the brushes and the shade. My problem is that after it has been on for 3-4hr, it does begin to appear mask-like, with almost an unrealistic glow. So overrated
It's amazing how this infomercial brand became such a big hit with everybody. I even bought into it and forked over the money to buy the beginner's kit, only to find that it was a load of non sense. Basically, I can't see how it can help anyone with skin that is not nearly perfect to begin with. Coverage is horrible, I can't even cover up my small dark circles under my eyes or my uneven skin tone....read more The concealer brush only makes things look like what it is, you tried hard to cover your spots with powder. Brainwashed
I received a set from my sister as a Christmas gift a few years ago. I was not impressed with the foundation powder, though I liked the eyeliner/eyeshadow powders. A year later I thought I'd give it another try. Mistake. And again recently I was brainwashed to give it another try. Why??!! The older I get the more it accentuates fine lines and poors. This saved my confidence!

Not for dry skin

Makes a Mess
I've been using this product for about a year now. It does go on easily and feels like you're wearing nothing, unless you need full coverage, then it takes forever to get enough on and it looks caked on. Bare Escentuals is an essential part of my make-up routine

My Fav
