Can't Live Without!
Honestly, I'm surprised by the low reviews that are posted. I've been using Bare Escentuals original foundation for about 6+ years now (after switching from Clinique liquid foundation), and I absolutely love it! I find that it matches my skin tone perfectly and covers any imperfections that I have. I don't have acne or bad skin, but I do scar easily. I can layer the foundation depending on the coverage I'm looking for without it looking cakey and unnatural. Truthfully, I'm always getting compliments from strangers telling me that I have flawless skin. AMAZING!!!!
I've been using this stuff for 3 years now and I can honestly say that it has helped my skin!! I have sensitive skin and it has never irritated my skin at all!!! It gives amazing coverage considering its a powder foundation and it gives a healthy glow. good stuff but prefer matte formulation
I really really like this stuff, it has done wonders at clearing up my acne and giving me a more natural look to my makeup, the only problem with this priduct is the high amount of shine in this powder. I do have fairly oily skin, but still it only takes about an hour for me to begin to look shiny with this product, and the mineral veil dosent seem to help much with that. i have very sensitive skin
I've gone through hundreds of dollars in drug store brands, I've tried everyone of them and ended up itching and burning and getting red skin after wearing it for only a few hours. I thought I couldn't wear makeup and Bare Escentuals changed that. It's not perfect coverage but it's enough for what I need. I use many of the Bare Escentuals products, foundation, warmer, etc....I still can't use their primers, face wash, or lotions....my skin is still too sensitve for that.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 8 people said helpful

Doesn't live up to the hype.

Disapointed :(
I have combination skin, so I thought this foundation would have been perfect to control the oil and shine without accentuating my dry spots. Boy was I wrong. Even though I use the mineral veil on top of the foundation, I just can't get that matte look I usually get with a liquid foundation and pressed powder. Not to mention, no matter how many "layers" of coverage I build, it just doesn't seem...read more to give me my desired coverage. I use this foundation with the concealer brush and it will not cover up my dark circles. I purchased the starter kit for $60 and for that price I'm beyond disappointed. Based on the reviews from this site and others, and a recommendation from a friend, I was expecting something great. Oh and not to mention this stuff makes a huge mess with every application. All over my dresser, clothes, hands, other makeup. Not worth the hassle and the extra time it takes to apply. it grew on me
decided to try bare minerals after 14 years of being a die hard mac fan, at first i was unsatisfied with the coverage i felt that buying a a concealer would defeat the whole purpose of the kit, but overtime i noticed that the quality of my skin got much better and my pores seemed less clogged. i dont think i could ever go back to a non mineral foundationThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 8 people said helpful

Ha, I love the people who review products and give them a 1 while claiming to be "a loyal customer for years". What is that? This product is great. I think most of the people who complain probably aren't applying it right, or using the right shade for them. The best thing to do is find a place where you can get a demonstration done on your face and have a professional show you which shade is right...read more for you. Then buy the starter kit. They're about 60 bucks, and you get the spf foundation, the bronzer, mineral veil, and a set of very nice brushes. When you combine the 3 you get an amazing naturally airbrushed look. Another problem with most women is they don't know how much foundation to put on. Either they put on too little and get no coverage, or they put on too much and it becomes too noticeable.
