Aveda Brush
I have felt like Aveda products are much more hype than they are substance. I like to use a paddle brush when I blow dry so I can pull my hair taut to get it smoother, as well as dry large portions of hair at once, but I didn't think that this brush was superior to other, comparable brushes that cost much less. I liked that it had natural bristles and was made of wood, but you don't have to pay the Aveda price tag to get that. Durable and worth $20!
So I thought I was crazy after I bought this brush and was deeply regretting my impulse buy but after the first time of using it, I was in love! I paid around $20 for this wooden brush but trust Aveda products so I figured it must be that price for a reason. The whole back and handle is a smooth, beautiful wood that pretty much withstands me dropping it on the daily. Also, for whatever reason m...read morey infant son loves this thing, and whenever he's in the bathroom he insists on banging it on the floor...I've closed my eyes and expected to open them to see a cracked brush, but upon inspecting it every single time it looks exactly the same, no cracks, not any different since the day I bought it. I have to say this has wonderful durability even with children! Pertaining to my hair, I believe this is an excellent paddle brush. I use it everyday to brush my mid back length hair and It doesn't tug or pull, and definitely is great for my hair after the shower and dry as well. I have used it a few times to brush through my hair when I blow dry(rarely) and it is rather pleasant as this brush grabs much of my hair. Didn't Help Me
I like to soak my brushes for a day in order to clean them, this one is too absorbent and holds water...and then never dries. The soap got stuck in it and the brush part is kind of loose. I know everyone said that this brush was durable but I didn't think so as the brush part fell out a few times. Not very excited by this brush. SO WORTH IT !!!
This Paddle brush has literally saved my hair from pulling out all the time. My other brushes seemed to pull my hair out and i switched to this brush because i never had a paddle brush so i wanted to try it. The quality of this brush would probably last you 20 years if not more considering it is wooden. Lasts forever

Such a Treat
It's such a treat to use this brush. A bigger treat is to have somebody else brush your hair with this brush. Before a haircut, my stylist always gives me a head and neck massage and a relaxing massage with the hairbrush. Lasts Forever - Makes Brushing Easy
I've had this brush for well over 5 years. I've used it so long that the stain is actually wearing off the wood! Its a great brush. The bristles are gentle on your hair, but they hold up so well! The entire brush is just of really good quality. I have fine hair and I can zip this through my whole head in a matter of seconds. Its just a great every-day brush.
