I love HiP
I love my Hip eyeshadow! It last all day on my lids (which is at least 10 hours). I have a professional job and can't really have any eyeshadow that is bold. When on my lids, it's a nice soft color and when I put a primer or cream base on my lids, it really intensifies the color! depends on the colors you chose
I have 4 of these hip color shadows. I must say that the one the site is displaying is wonderful, I love the dark pink/mauveish color, but the darker color with it is way too dark for a contrast. I also have the bright blue one, the bright green, and the one with the neon pink.. sorry I dont have them right in front of me, so.. I love the bright blue ones, but the other ones are lacking in pigmen...read moreted color. The green comes off way too light to be labeled "intense".. i actually went thru the one displayed and got another one.. would i buy it again? eh, maybe, if it was on sale.. but at one time, i was using this almost everytime I wore makeup. so if you have tried one color, maybe try another one.. i really wish they would have been more consistent with this HIP stuff.. some of it is good, and some really stinks..This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Extremely disappointing
I picked up a few of the L'Oreal HIP duos in the metallic colors yesterday and tried them out today. Though the colors are lovely in the package, they are horrible on my skin. The dark green - which I thought would be beautiful! - is in reality a horrible blackish-green that looks like the color of mold. Who wants moldly eyes? Intense pigment indeed!
I bought this eyeshadow in the yellow and purple duo. To be honest i wasn't expecting much, i usually use mac eyeshadows and wasn't sure this would live up but it did! The yellow color (More of a frost) came out amazingly and stayed on all day. It didnt crease and i got so many compliments that it was kind of ridiculous! L'Oreal HIP: One of the better drugstore shadows
I own Wicked, which is an eggplant and metallic bronze-ish duo. I love this shadow, especially the bronze color...It makes a very dramatic evening look and is flattering to my complexion. The container is nifty, too. It opens up on the bottom to reveal a little mirror and a sponge applicator. You need a good brush to blend properly and sometimes I end up using my finger to blend because the brush I use is cheaply made. It also takes 3-4 brush strokes to bring the eggplant shade to the desired intensity. I think its a good thing, so you can build the shade up gradually. The consistency of the shadow isn't chalky, but smooth, and it sticks to my skin very well. Rather disappointed...

Great for day and night, Very Blendable
I love this stuff! The color doesn't creep around my eyes, lasts even though I have a tendency to touch my allergy-eyes all night. I got the one with a tan shade on one side and a darker brown on the other. The colors are perfect for my skin tone and playability is a must! I'm not really into drugstore eyeshadows but my co-worker kept on raving about this, saying it's as pigmented as MAC but cheaper, so I gave it a try. Doesn't compare at all to MAC or other high end eye shadows as far as pigments and longevity is concerned. The intensity is at best average and so is staying power. It looks a lot more pigmented in the container than it does on my eyes. Using a p...read morerimer underneath (such as UDPP) does help a bit in longevity and intensity but even with that it's just so-so. Also, the colors are so ridiculous that it's unwearable for day time. It's also very hard to blend w/ a brush and I had to use my fingers to blend it in good. Oh, forget about using the brush that comes with this. It's absolutely useless. Get a good eye shadow brush instead. Sure it's a lot cheaper than more expensive eye shadows but don't expect it to perform as good as one.
