Don't buy into the hype!
I was excited about the HIP line when they started advertising for it in magazines but was very disappointed when I actually purchased HIP products. Most of my makeup comes from Sephora and I rarely buy it at Walgreens or a grocery store, but decided to take a chance. The colors look bright and fabulous sitting on the shelves in a store, but when you actually get home and put the shadow on, it ...read morefails miserably. This is definitely not a high intensity pigment. The color barely showed up and I have very light skin. **Why the bad reviews???**
So I read a few of the reviews, True fact: They are not as intense as advertised. True fact # 2: The product still produces a great color! My favorite is the light brown/dark brown, it works so well with shading and contouring! I also love the bright green/foresty green. Not as intense as it looks in the package but I can't deny the amazing result I get when I layer them on my eye! Its ok if you like some vibrance
I have a smooth caramel completion. I found that this products works if you are going for a subtle look. I am starting to get into colors now and just being a little more outgoing. So this works. Now for those people who want "on the wild side" colors this would probably not be the product for you. It gave me a different look so I am pleased. Love it!
I bought the product looking for something with a lotta umph. Boy, does it. I am fair skin with freckles & the product shows up exstremely well! I like that it last all day with minimum creasing. I have to say, you have to be very careful applying the shadow as it tends to really stick to where it lands! So be careful not to get to sloppy with application! Otherwise, I LOVE this product!
